Weapon Importing

Weapon Importing

I get this error when I add my weapon tag into sapien. And then the weapon doesnt show up.

i think that somewhere along the line when creating you're boomstick, you either didnt make or compile the shader_model

first of all make it a shader_model instead of an environment. now copy the shader and put it in both the normal tags directory and the weapon\gun\shaders directory. now it should be able to locate the shader.

Ok for the not showing up part I think you didnt set your bounding radius. Try putting it to 0.1. Also make shur your setting your weapon as netgame equiptment you have to make and item collection for your weapon and point it to your gun and then set the weapon in sapien. Check the tut for more detailes.

my weapon doesn't show up in game either but i had no errors compiling and i do have the bounding radius set.

thx alot...

I fixed it before I read the replies, I just didnt make my shader a shader_model, I ended up just recompiling the model along with the shaders. thanx for the info, but even when i make the item_collection it still doesnt show up... it shows up wen i just simply put a weapon. but then they dissapear after a little bit.


Ive made respawning weapons before, and theyve worked, but it never seems to work with my custom weapons.
