Need Help, Seriously Confused!

Ok, I have hek, but that is it. It isn't gonna do anything for me unless i download like 5 other programs. What programs do i need to make my own maps, weapons, and textures? Please help me out here because I have a killer map idea i have been working on for a very long time, I just dont understand what i need or where to get it. Please help, thanx a lot!

You need HEK, 3ds max 5 or 6, paintshoppro8 or photoshop. windows XP, halo CE and lots of tutorials

well, i got everything there, i found it on the mapping board. Now i open hek and it gives me two options, play, or uninstall. i press play because uninstall would obveously not do you any good. When i press play, it takes me to this site, http://www.cortana.org/HEK_Tutorial/

and there, the listed materials are all things I dont have that arent required according to halomods. how do i get HEK opened and how do i get the right tutorials on how to create a level? Thanx for the help tho mastercheif, i just need more because of this odd HEK problem.

HEK isnt a program...its Halo Editing Kit (hence HEK)...anyway u go to ur Halo Custom Edition directory
(usually Program Files/microsoft games/halo custom edition) and open up individual tools in there)
