Somehow, I doubt you will be able to mak a better map editing kit than HEK or sparkedit. But you can break a leg trying!(literally)

Pretty much anyone here can mod - It's simple - Download HMT - Open a map - Go under a tag - Edit a value - Save - Done

I just got halo yesterday and ive already played online.But i wanna know how to apply mods after ive downloaded them.
I just downloaded "gruntsindamnation.rar",but i dont know what to do

.rar files are rar archives, kinda like .zip. You'll need winrar (http://www.rarlabs.com)
Then after you extract them, if the file is .map, just put it in you maps folder.
If they are .ppf's you'll need another program called "PPF-O-Matic" to apply those files.
