Anybody know where i can find good tutorials on how to mod halo 2. I looked all around this site and couldnt find anything. I have alot of free time on my hands and want to mod for fun and for the halo modding community. Any help would be helpful. ( what i mean by modding is me doing it by myself, not with patches)

ok...heres my tutorial.
You rarely get great skills just by reading.
muck around a bit and see what you can do. you'll surprise yourself.

but heres something anyway
1) get a theme (fire for example)
2) think of what it will look like
3) make objects\weapons\vehicles to suit your theme
4) start to fiddle with gun textures\shaders
5) get someone else to test it for you
6) have fun and release to us for us to love

coming soon to j units house (maybe or maybe not near you) is a new network card wooo hooo todays the day i get off my lazy ass and go buy one hopefully it will fix the problem and i can fix up canzibar in no time (im assuming) than you can have ur damn v2 final

btw look forward to The 7th Sanctums first mod called Dark Ruins

got it and i can finally work on canzibar yay

the land mines are done and their pretty freakin sweet
got the guauss hog projectile working
new covie turret projectile and its sweet
redish plasma grenades
finished injecting rest of grav throne (still needs a seat, ill ask tycko he can fix it easily)
almost done testing the tidle wave
skins for signs are done, just need to be injected

missing anything?

Wow, sounds sweet. You made a lot of progress on it. Can't wait for version 3.

hah version 3? im just trying to finish v2 because this will be the final once its done

the jetpack only works on the covie turret and its invisible so keep walking all the way around the invisible jetpack till it says press x to get in jetpack and ta-da!

iv had so many things go wrong today its driving me crazy, anybody from The 7th Sanctum can confirm that if they were in the chat room...just so many problems now with the jetpack and covie turret, the plasma grenade things, the tidle wave, the grav throne

you could have put all my messages from the chatroom together and produced eminems new hit single

EDIT: Is there anyway like say, the makers of the jetpack could tell me how they changed what they did?

i made it and right now u cant even get in the driver seat, something fucked up big time when i was messing with one of the new features

i dont think there is going to be any gravity throne in the final, sorry

Dude, you ROCK!! This is the best Halo 2 mod there is!!!
I don't like the Scarab gun being weaker, BUT STILL!! It rocks!

i just added color changing grenades...the grenade is blue when u throw it, it hits the ground and lights up half the map in a darker blue, than the explosion flashes half the map green

tycko fixed the jetpack seat

now i just wanna skin some of the signs to custom stuff and i still wanna try and get that big wave effect

then it will be ready for final release

So can you see the jetpack model now?
