[Utility][Halo 1] Halo Mapfile Header Converter Version 1.1

Ok before you flame me please read this. I made this program to help mod Halo PC and maybe CE. I did NOT make this to rip people's models, bitmaps and such. If you do that crap you should go to hell. I made this cause I have a good idea and if it works it would help mod Halo PC. Maybe somebody can work out something to help with CE but ok.

Oh yes, what this does is it converts Halo PC maps to Halo CE maps or Halo CE maps into Halo PC maps

Heres my idea:

Make a CE map with your own custom weapon put into a crappy level (just like a box). Then convert the map into a PC map and load it up into HMT. Then recursively save your weapon. Then PMI your weapon into a level like Bloodgulch (PC Version)!!! If that works it will probably work for scenery, vehicles, bipeds, actors, actor variants (means AI in PC)!!! Well I suck at modding so if anyone could try that please report back if it worked.

AGREEMENT:
By downloading this file you agree this file comes AS IS and I'm not responsible for any damage to files, software, hardware, or anything else. Use at own risk. Also you agree not to decompile, deobfuscate(sp?) or modify HMHC in ANY way. You also agree not to modify or 'rip' other authors' work.

We've had AI in PC for an incredibly long time, lol. But this DOES mean custom models from what I can see, good job. =)

Hmmm, thought I saw something like this for Trial too PC, anyways I guess it is ok, but all it does is replace a simple hex job. *Moved to the Utilities forum*

If I remember correctly; only net framework 1.2 is needed for hmt, but I may be wrong. I suggest you try downloading and installing Net Framework 2.0 just in case.

ok

this doesnt change the map files to halo ce or pc. It just changes the header of the two maps, you wont be able to a pc map that has been "converted" into a ce map and play it. On Halo's start up you'll get a corrupted file error. AND, you cant recursivly extract from a ce map with hmt.

wtf
