OMG 2 Apps in 1 Post

Halo 2 Map Copier & Halo 2 Mass Map Copier

I made these 2 apps a while back but didnt release them because 2 use them ur maps hav 2 be kept in this order:

...\Original Map Name\Original Map Name\Original Map.map

and ur modded maps:

...\Original Map Name\Modded Map Name\Modded Map.map

its great 4 finding mods but a pain 4 starting a new 1 so i made the Halo 2 Map Copier to copy the map i wanted into the right folder make a backup and copy the shared files if needed

l8r i made the Mass Copier 2 which copies every multi map into 1 folder for making multiple map mods

Important Note: Any map whose menu name is different from its file name should hav its menu name on the folders but keep its file name.

Important Note 2: ONLY SUPPORTS MULTIPLAYER & SHARED MAPS

Important Note 3: Destination MUST be the folder which contains the folders of all the maps ie. ....\maps

but anyway i decided 2 give them 2 any1 who wanted them since i dont think anything like them exsists so here they r

So this just makes copies of existing maps in a new folder?

Why not use a file list box and filter out all non .map files?
The list box is a great example of how NOT to do it right.

I third the motion to say that Cntrl C and Cntrl V work great.

I think this was a waste of your time. Try something new.

would be better if it had the option to rename the map then ftp, or some other feauturs that are not seen as oftern in applications, just an idea... :)

mayb i didnt explain the point of the apps clearly enough

the way i keep my maps orginised without the copier i would need 2:

1. make a folder and give it a name
2. copy the map
3. paste in new folder

the if i wanted the shared files id hav 2 copy them and paste them into the new folder

with the copier i can just do it in a couple of clicks saving time and making it a whole lot easier

ALSO

u all seem 2 hav missed the MASS MAP COPIER which copies all the maps

which if done without the app would take forever!!!!!!!!

Heh, guess your making all those people who made app organizers first burn now aren't you?

Anyways, good job on the applications, I'm sure they will help a few people, although I really don't see why your maps are organized in that fashion. Don't get discouraged by flamers though ;)

for the amount of space this takes up on my comp and the amount o ftime it would take me to do tsi all I would have to do is have both folders open and mass copy them by selecting them and copy and pasting them. Nice experimental app though.
