Merry Christmas everyone! I'm not very good at modding, but I wanted to give something back to Halomods for 2 great years of well, halo mods. This program is probably like all the program launchers you've seen, but with a few added functions. I've gone for the simplest design while allowing the most flexibility. This program will let you:
Keep all your halo 2 modding programs organized,
Ftp into your xbox to grab a new map file,
Let you quickly and easily backup/restore the mapfile you are currently working on,
Check whats happening on your favorite halo 2 modding website,
And check for new mods on a webpage I will try to keep updated.
I hope this program helps someone, and I will continue development on it if anyone has any suggestions. If the program fails to work for you, run the included vbrun50.exe and it should work after that.
Edit: Version 4 is out! Here is a changelog:
Organize your halo 2 modding programs
FTP into your xbox
Backup/Restore your current mod
Check a modding website
Check for new mods
Hide combo boxes you aren't using
Apply/Make a PPF (untested)
Check a map header to grab values (like map magic)
Includes many tutorials (included in the RAR)
An easy to use interface

Stop with the fucking app/mod/map managers. I'm fucking tired of them, and so are a lot of other people in this forum. I swear I must've seen at least 20 of these god forsaken "programs".

yeah theres been lots and they have all been exactly the same, except for this one, i like it, nice job, theres no shame in releasing something that nearly every one has released, when its done right, and this was done very well

Voided, I'm sorry if you don't like it or anything... I understand you sharing your opinion and the such about it, but you didn't have to be a jerk to him. You are entitled to your feedback, but using such profanity as you used is uncalled for. Try to clean it up. You don't speak highly of yourself when you use "big boy" words to prove a point. I was starting to think this forum was making a change for the better, but I guess I was wrong. I'm tired of people flaming and putting others down because they have no self esteem themselves. Just learn to keep your rude comments to yourself. Negative feedback is used so pople can improve, not so they can feel like trash.

Theres many reasons I don't like people like Kayuni:
1. He made an app thats been done before.
2. Built-in FTP, oh shit, he was 1336, but the FTP is +1! [/sarcasm]
3. Visual Basic, need I say more?
My negative feedback is there so people will finally understand that we don't need more application managers, otherwise, people will keep giving out positive feedback and thus more and more of this repetative programs will start popping out all over the place.

Yes, I realize that it has been done before, but I decided to try it and fix all the annoyances that were there in the old programs. Like, one program I used to use would continue running even after you shut it off. I'm attempting to put in all the little things that are needed for modding, but take time to open up separate programs for, like FTP'ing and backing up your map that you are currently modding(I know, it doesn't take another program, but this way just seems faster to me). And I used VB because I've been using it for a few years and the only thing I can make with anything else is like a calculator. I plan to learn a more advanced language later though, like when I go to college. I just felt that Visual Basic would be a good starting point.

Negatie feedback is find and even encouraged (I feel). I've recieved plenty of it myself. It's things that insult and put down the person, not what they've produced, that bothers me. I feel that much of what you say is true as you made it clear in your 2nd post. But it doesn't mean that Kayuni is a bad guy for spending time making this program, so speak bad about the program, if you want, and not Kayuni. That's all I'm trying to say.
