well another app by me :) and well another one of my problems solved :). well i made this because i found myself in a situation where i messed up a tag and i need to fix it so wat this does is takes a meta and rewrites it over the screwed up one and its helped me so far and no bugs :). this is a beta so if theres a bug just tell me and i will fix. enjoy :)

tut: not going to write one because its kinda self explanitory

note:
high6 wrote:well it works completely fine as long as u dont extract the meta from an original map and put into a new 1 with a bigger size... but it works if u extract it from the map with a bigger size and work on it and *** it up then rewrite over so extract the meta from the map u working on before u do something this is also like a ctrl + z think u got a cool effect but wanna make cooler extract the meta edit and if u dont like then fix it and its like u never tryed that thing.
works just like a meta checkpoint...
make a cool weap and wanna test more on it just extract it and ooops look u f-ed it up well just open my app and fix the meta and it will be just like it was before testing more on it.

I hope you realize that not all metas are the same. Interflexes are one thing that would throw it off since I believe the mp sword meta is smaller than the sp sword meta. Another huge problem would be if you extracted meta from an original map to be put in the database, and decided to add that meta to a built map...I believe the reflexives would be off since I don't see any type of data file extracted with it to indicate the reflexive info. It would be much easier to just extract and inject using one of the current map editors...

It requires calculating the map magic and translating the reflexives with respect to the tag offset. Not too difficult :P

data files are created by the program to tell it how to fix the meta, it's not like halo 2 has the data file in it.......look at ch2r for how to do it...

You can, it's open source. Even if you can't compile it, you should still be able to find the code you need.

well it works completely fine as long as u dont extract the meta from an original map and put into a new 1 with a bigger size... but it works if u extract it from the map with a bigger size and work on it and fuck it up then rewrite over so extract the meta from the map u working on before u do something this is also like a ctrl + z think u got a cool effect but wanna make cooler extract the meta edit and if u dont like then fix it and its like u never tryed that thing.

thanks for the positive feedback i have changed this... its more like a meta checkpoint because there is no data file which eventually i will make and add this to an app i working on right now but it works as a meta check point and or a new meta just remember to extract the meta before u start working on it.
