Seperate bitmaps

I was getting frustrated about bitmaps going perfectly into one map, but screws something up in another map. Then I found this out.

1) Go into HMT 3.5 and select [bitm]
2) Find your bitmap and select it. The bitmap should show up on the left side of the program
3) Above the bitmaps, on the left of the EOF button, you should see a code. Select it, and copy it.
4) Select the utilities link, paste the code in the slot above the Magic + & Magic - links.
5) Click Magic +, the new code will be there. Copy it, and paste it where the original code was, to the left of EOF.
6) Click update.
7) Inject your bitmap (This will only work on the one you edited)

Tada! The bitmap will only show up on the map you edited. And no corruption no matter what! Make sidewinder and b40 snow hogs and it will not show on normal maps! Make a camo for the ar in a jungle map, and it will not bother any others!

IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!: This will increase the size of your bitmaps.map. You cannot make a ppf of it and the original!

Conures bitmap internalizer is much better. EOF adds raw data to the end of the bitmaps.map, Conures internalizer adds the raw data to the map its self so you never need to use a bitmaps.ppf if you internalize skins and wanna distribute them.

EOF doesn't do anything in this tut. I just said it's next to the EOF button.

Or whatever, you can't do it properly in HMT, period.

I'm not saying mine is better or worse. I'm just saying it's good. It's helpfull for making the snow maps have snow bitmaps instead of the ordinary ones that don't fit in too well. (Example) Just try it before posting, ok?

Just follow it. Its the only way I know it works.

I know it works when you click those two buttons, no need to play with map data...

philly is right, all you need to d is click EOF then Update then inject the skin.

EOF > Update is a better way to do it over your way. EoF(end of file) basically just gets the next place were bitmaps can be injected in bitmaps.map, no outside math required. Also you CAN make bitmaps of rebuilt maps and bigger support maps, this has been proven in the past....
just use the sized ppf maker.....

btw internalized bitmaps are cooler :P

If I could get the SPPF to work, that would be nice. :)
Thankyou conure for clearing that up, and yes, internalizing is cooleralthough you'll never catch me doing it. ;p

I'd hate to bump my own topic :P but I found out that if you use EOF on 2 or more bitmaps, the most recent injection or EOF'd file will be the same as the other's EOF'd. So follow this tut, and nothing like this will happen.
