Grenade Launcher tut

This is a tut for creating a grenade launcher with a shotty,HMT3.5,and HHT v5
Pt 1
1.Open BloodGulch in HMT
2.find the shotgun pellet projectile
3.change Detonation timer start to Immediately
4.change arming time to 1.5
5.change danger radius to 2.25
6.change timer and timer-to to 0.5
7.make air gravity scale 1
8.change initial velocity to 0.4 and final velocity to 0.3333333
9.click save and close map
Pt 2
1.Open BloodGulch in HHT
2.go to the shotgun pellet projectile tag
3.change the Mod2 to weapons\frag grenade\frag grenade
4.change the third effect to weapons\frag grenade\effects\explosion
5.and for the final step change all of the effects under the jpt! to weapons\frag grenade\effects\explosion
this is my first tut and im 100% sure it will work bcuz i'm using it in my mod

this is sorta why i added that feature in infection
you go to the shotgun tag, swap any dependencies you need there (like the firing effect or whatever) then you want to do swaps within the projectile. while still having the shotty open, you double click the proj dependency and it's deps come up. do any swaps there. you can then access any of the effects, etc in the tag by double clicking...
cool tutorial btw, one of my first mods was making a grenade launcher out of the shotty...

Yeah my shotgun shoots grenades but if i aim them at a wall they will go into the wall like a shotty bullet?How i fix this?

Verry nice but can you make a pistol shoot homing-sticky grenades? i did. Sorry but i cant provide screen shots.

My guess is the physics of it. Try different Arcs; (the angle it's thrown/shot at) and the speed of it. I'm most likely wrong but it's worth a shot eh? Also try to tweak the grenade's weight and physics.

ur tut works great...one ? im using the flamethrower with a brute shot model and...how do u get rid of the flame?

oh that was fun taking the flame away... I'm using it for a mod as a halo 2 sentinal laser. You use hht and go to the weapon tag of the flamethrower I believe. The flame effects should be nulled out. You'll eventually find the right one.

I have advanced HMT plugins, so I don't know if you have this, but there is a section on a projectile's reaction to each of the 32 different types of surfaces.
You can choose attach, reflect, detonate, etc.
