Ok this tutorial well tkae you step by step, on how to convert tags made in CE to PC.
1. Compile the tags you created into the tutorial map.
2. Use the map converter (can be downloaded at
www.levels4you.com ), to convert the tutorial.map to a pc map.
3. Open the compiled maps, and extract all the tags that have to with object you are extracting... that includes, any shaders, models, colllision models, animations trigger, physics, ANYTHING, you must also extract the main tag as well. (the main tag would be like the weapon tag or the vehicle tag or whatever). NON-RECRUSIVLY!!!!
Please note that sounds and bitmaps can not be ripped.
4. Decrap the models and rebuild as usual
Rremember to put the extracted files in the correct folder.
Make sure you have permission before converting other peoples work!

is there a way to rip the bitmaps too? because when i rip its just a multi colored blob over a model. or is there a way to skin it?

Nope, shaders mess up, bitmaps mess up, and sounds mess up. You should keep CE stuff in CE, it doesn't come out right anyhow, since the shaders and sounds work differently in it.

shaders dont mess up if you do them right...
bitmaps CAN be ripped (emphasis on CAN

), but you need a modded xbox and is to much work to actually do it -_-
and anways if you have permission to use the models and tags from the creator, then im sure the creator will also give you the bitmap tiff file aswell -_-

Isn't the process like converting a CE map to work on the Xbox, then ripping it out of the xbox, etc? That must take a hell of a while
