i tried that shooting the master cheif and swapping projectiles and stuff but it always says "gathering exception files" or somthing.... why?

That means the map file is corrupt. You must have done something wrong.

why does it say "file not found" or "not a valid halo map file" when i try and open a map with HMT

The map file is either corrupted, or it is not a map file. Are you sure you're opening a Halo map and not a Halo Custom Edition map?

Im getting the map file straight from the halo 2 disk and the map isnt corrupt because i can open it fine in any other halo 2 modding program and im still having the same problem.

HMT is for Halo PC. Atleast.. last time i checked

Yep, that's definitely your problem. HMT isn't compatible with Halo 2, use Entity or Dothalo. Both and more can be found in the Files Forums.

is it possible to mod it so that you are the only one that gets the mod?
and is it possible to mod it so that the skins can be from a different game? like instead of masterchief you get get a mech?

well what r u trying to install? try extracting the mappack into a folder. then go to your hal game file where u installed it. go to the map folder, and copy and paste every thing inside into another folder. then drag and drop the map from the mappack into the game folder and click yes to replace the existing file. the reason i said to copy and paste those files was to make a backup copy.

and its not that i am trying to cheat it that what is the point of modding your character if every one has it u no. theres no shock value if everyone is a godzilla or whatever.

i using the no cd for 1.7 and it is really starting to irritate me cause a message saying that my cd key is wrong keeps coming up every time i try to play multiplayer is ther another no cd that is fixed or what cuase i reinstalled and everything and it dont work. i even tried like 4 keys.
