you need to triangulate your model, I haven't opened up Wings3D in a while so I might be wrong, but here I go:
1.highlight all the faces in face mode
2.right click and scroll down until you see an option like "Triangulate" or something
3.use that option, now your model should be made completelty of triangles
4.save and do whatever you did to get it into Halo

Also, in the future may I suggest posting in the help section

OMG THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
bye the way do you have to do this to every model for it to look right?
or dose it difer for each model

and for some reason the skin i put on the ufo banshee model isnt showing up it looks the same. also is there some way to make the model show up from far away? when ever i move far enough away it turns back into a banshee

what's UV'ing? like i said im a modeling noob and i dont realy know much about wings3D so if you have any good tips that would be good thanks :D

some more questions lol
i just made a another model and tried it out but there was this weird line kinda thing coming out of my feet going way far off im guessing its because of the model but i checked and it seemed fine. why dose this happen and is there a way to fix it?

also ive been noticing extra parts on the models once i import them. dose that just happen or is there some way i can fix it?

when i made a first person model for a weapon i was going to look at the original fp model for placement reference but when i tried to open it with wings3D it wouldnt let me and now master chief holds the weapon all weird in first person

UVing is texturing a model. im guessing it would be under tools on the menu.

Try this, open your GBX model in guerilla,
scroll to bottom and change the material type to something else like :
(tags/levels/test/tutorial/shaders/example_tutorial_metal.shaderenvironment)

Let me know how it turns out.

UVWmapping places skin coordinates on the model.

bye the way i originally posted this in the mac section but it got moved to here

and is the skin lay out data held in the model or something else?

ive also tried the uvw mapping too many times and it never works???
do you have to do something else?

and do materials have anything to do with the skin layout?

Its held on the model.

Not sure.

Materials have a huge part with the skins.

Try it with no smoothing groups.
