i did a quick test to try to make people lock-on-able changed the target_main of the mc to target_driver but that didnt let me lock-on

so ill try adding a chunk tomorrow

Could this be applied backwards to allow us to lock onto other vehicles we can't normally, like pelicans (assuming it has enemies in it)?

well you can lock onto the phantom but not the pelican if you can put it in and then test it which could be a sec because you have to make the pelican spawn as something and then put that in just so you can lock onto something you cant destroy unless nobody is in it

possible id need to look at a pelican mode to be sure though...ill have a look

but the pelican is indistructable anyway isnt it?

correction you can lock on to the phantoms turrets

edit 2: i looked at the pelican mode theres no marker for any kind of target so a swap wouldnt work :( but tomorrow i will investigate adding chunks to mode's to see if its possible cause its 2 in the morning :P

You are going to have to add a chunk through hex. I belive that gg's reflexive chunk adder dosen't have anything in the mode tag.

Even if the pelican were lock-on-able, you wouldn't be able to destroy it with someone driving, unless the Pelican's pilot seat is set up to be kill-able. This was a problem I encountered when I turned a banshee into a stingray: since I hadn't changed the seat to scorpion_d the pilot was indestructible inside it. It seems that that's where his destructibility is defined and if it's not defined for the pelican...
Also, for the reason of wanting a vehicle to be un-lockable... balance. I personally find it ridiculous that the ground vehicles are easier to hit with a locked rocket than a banshee is (a banshee can dodge rockets effortlessly, but a ghost or warthog are sitting ducks). I miss the Halo 1 days when it required skill to take out a ghost with a rocket. Personally, I think the only lockable vehicle should be the banshee, and now, in my mods it will be.

Last time i checked, if you changed the needler [proj] to w.e or something like a rocket it can home onto people.

A homing plasma nade would be simple as PI (22/7 roughly :P)...If you want me to send you a patch then I can...Then again it could be used for easy cheats so for you Ill put it in my next mod :)

As for the no lock on...I personally didnt know about it...So thats kool...Although I have no use for it as of now its still really kool :P

I made a simple homing plasma nade mod in my SP maps. But when you shoot them, they don't home, but when your team mates do, the plasma nades DO?!? I don't get it, I put the weight/arc to 0, and I can't shoot homing plasma nades. But this stuff is pretty cool anyways.
I hate websites that make you register to download their stuff......

I just checked and your right :( oh well ill add one of those proper chunk things then...

edit: hmm only the collections have proper chunks..anyone care to explain how i would hex add a chunk?

Same way you add one to collections, you just have to figure out which reflexive is the one you want to add chunks to.

allow me to refrase:

gg's app can't do it(no template or something)
the proper chunk thing only has collection thing to download and i have no idea how i would go about get/making what i would need to add

so if someone can fully explain that would be great :D
