Here is a tutorial I wrote for someone in Tech Support, I figured I'd post it here, where it would be seen more, as I haven't seen a tutorial for this as of yet.

This tutorial assumes you are looking for Gametype sounds, like Kills, Sprees, or Game specifics, obviously you could find a different map or directory for other sounds.

DO THIS FIRST!
Go to Xbins. (Guide)
Navigate to /pc/drivers-codecs/xb_adpcm
Download xb_adpcm_codec.rar
Extract it
Read the instructions file within the .rar
Do what it says
Now you can move on to the next step: Extracting Sounds

[Tutorial 1]
Open Ch2r.
Open shared.map
Navigate to sound\dialog\multiplayer
Go through the sub directories, locate a sound you want.
Single click the .snd!
On the left of the window, click the drop down arrow next to Tools
Check the Sound Options box
Click the Extract button
Save it whereever you like

[Tutorial 2]
Open ADI.
Open shared.map
Navigate to the snd! tag
Locate a sound you want.
Single click the .snd!
Go to the Raw Data Editor button
Click the Save Sound button
Save it where ever you like

How do you download it then?

Ah... It is a codec to be able to here halo 2 sounds. Is this a special codec or is it possible some of us have it?

Is this the right link?

Sorry Tural, that part just didn't make sense to me but I have the codec enabled now sorry.

Edit: The codec is placed as #1 and is enabled but the sound files still say, that they are missing a codec.
