Overall that had to be one of the longest Shooter Campaigns I have ever played in recent memory.
I would also like to know what happened to Dizzy. Why Only Tai?
I like the riftworm as well it was a neat twist.
Your Opinions?

Well, I only got to play a little of the first of it (Check Rant Thread, Page 666). I got to the part where you're looking for Maria in the little box/tube things. I figured Tai would be able to make it, though. I can't believe he killed himself. :/

Tai was my favorite
Dizzy was just a driver
I was extremely satisfied with the single play campaign.
Storming the palace was really fun. So was flying the Reavers and driving the Brumak.Horde has to be one of the best modes in the game especially when you get higher up in the waves.
I definitely think there will be a 3rd. ^_^

Considering Epic already stated it's a trilogy, I would bet so too
That said, I haven't played too much of GoW2 yet, but I immensely enjoyed defeating the giant worm. Bloood

The campaign was pretty long then? Not like the first where it was pretty short?
Hopefully my 1 hour of sleep today will give me enough energy to play my 360 all day today... Still gotta download and set up this NXE business though :/
Looks pretty sweet, i'll be trying it later today as mentioned before.

Lets see.
It took me 16-20 Hours on Normal... So yea I would call that long ^___^.
I thought the Reaver got annoying after awhile because thats all you ever hear from Dom and Marcus, "WATCH OUT REAVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!" (2 mins later) "WATCH YOUR BACK MARCUS REAVERS!"
I HATED THE FUCKING BOMB!!! WTF IT NEVER SEEMED TO GO WHERE I WANTED IT TO GO. *sadface*

fantastic campaign. The worm was my favorite part. the big ball of crap chasing you inside his stomach and when you have to cut the heart. That was fun. It took my about 5-6 hours co-op on hardcore. Insane is taking a long time by myself. I've only gotten through 1 full act and that took me about 6 hours. MUCH better than the first one IMO.

I can't beat it on easy by myself. :/
Anyways, I'm going to rent it again.

I've always regarded GoW 2 as an adrenaline-fueled fratboy game-- something to play with your buddies while being loud and drinking alcohol and having sex with lots of women. I though that it didn't channel any other emotion other than the one that makes monkeys kill each other, but the scene where Dom finds Maria in the labor camp... That was the most touching and oddly beautiful scenes in any video game that I have ever played. The entire game had a very cinematic feel to it, with beautiful lighting effects and camera work.
The one complaint I had was the frantic and senseless plot. It just didn't make any sense, and it feels like something the developers just sort of threw on because they want to disguise the game's overall mindlessness. It's like throwing a tarp over a mountainous pile of elephant crap. You might not see the dung from far away, but walk any closer, and you're sure as hell going to know about it.
Overall, an amazing game.

We know you think what you think... But why? That is our question.

I may have rushed through it with a friend, but it seemed like you would defeat ludicrously big monster in valley X, and then the Tac-Com lady would give you a weak excuse to fight another ludicrously big monster in underground cavern Y, and then you'd end up in a mountain research lab, and then in a giant worm, and then back in underground cavern Y, then in Jacinto, then back in underground cavern Y.
The very beginning and very end made a fair bit of sense, but the rest of the plot seemed thrown in at the beginning and end of the levels as an excuse for the designers to make a cool mountain laboratory level, or some other novelty monster.
That aspect of the plot especially-- the one with the Sires. What ever happened to that? You just sort of fought them for one level, and then left. It was fun, but it seemed disconnected from the rest of the missions.

You fight the sires multiple times.
In the lab and before the palace.
Did you skip threw all the cut scenes when playing?
oh yea... Wtf was up with the final boss battle? That aspect of the plot made no sense what so ever... If some one will shed some light on that I will be happy.

It played well.
You can't deny that it was awesome. Not nearly as good as the riftworm, but it was really cool.
EDIT:
Dr.Cox wrote:That's not what I meant... So the Brumak stepped in Immulsion and mutated right?
Yeah, it stepped in immulsion, which I just thought gave you Rust Lung. It then exploded using the same mechanics behind a lightmass bomb.
