Does anyone have like a spec chart or comparison chart for all the Xbox 360 consoles? I hear the new 60 gig Xbox has a new chip and stuff inside it. Does the Elite have the same stuff? I'm asking because I need to buy a new 360 and I want a good one.
About a quarter of the way down the page is a good chart, although it does not have any information pertaining to the new chip. I suppose that the chip doesn't make much of a difference anyway.

and what would that be?

The newer chipsets use less energy, and thus produce less heat, which then reduces chances, greatly, of the console failing, as Scotty said. I think having a significantly increased chance of my console failing would be a noteworthy detriment.
The Elite has always been the first console to receive a new chip set. I don't know which set the 60gb models have. When the 60gb models came out, Ben Heck showed that they had the normal GPU and the 65nm CPU, which is the same as the current Elite models.

Also the RAM overheat problem was solved by removing ram chips from underneath the board, only the 60gb models have these
as off systems made in july it looks like the arcade systems have the new chipset as well.
i had to take my old xbox back to the shop and got given one with a manu date of 23/07/2008 and it seems to have all the newest chips in it.
Unopned of course but by looking through the holes and such.
