If you choose to. There's never going to be a mandatory install, so you can always just play your games like normal.

I didnt know that.
How didn't you notice the message everytime you go into a match, or change the map in the custom game saying "Loading [insert map name here]"

Wait, that could lead to an advantage in MP, right? Your map loads a few seconds before the enemie's. You get to the power weapon before the team gets there.
Perhaps in TF2, but they counter that with forcing players to wait for the host, and then they have that 15 second wait time that states "Waiting for Players.."
However, lag has forced players to load into the game into the match a bit in the start-up time as much as fifteen seconds (I.E. 45 seconds start=up instead of the usual 60 seconds).

Maybe if you're a fast host with slow people then could that occur in TF2.

There is a video showing this feature in use using the leaked update.

A video showing someone press "Install to hard drive." Impressive. I never believed them when they announced it, glad to see there's a video proving that the feature actually does exist. Very worthwhile.

I thought it was actually pretty neat. It showed the whole dashboard, rather than just the copying of the game. That would've been boring as hell.
