This thread inspired me to Google Game Boy emulators, and download pokemon red.

ah. thats gay. stupid gameboy emulator. I got really far in the game without saving, then I got stuck on a screen. I'm stuck on a screen saying select your pokemon that you would like to give this TM to, and any pokemon I choose, it says this pokemon cannot use this attack.

I prefer Gamesharks because you can find your own cheats.

But yeah, Silver was my thing. I was crazy into that game, looked up how to breed pokemon to get the best stats, etc.

And oh yeah I got Mew in Yellow without a gameshark.

I had to go through hell to get my Mew. Granted it was like 10 years ago; back when we used gameboy Pockets and Game Genie for our NES and Pocket. I however did own a Color, so me and a friend attempted to plug the Game Genie into my Color and go for the Mew. The Genie was compatible, but with a ton of bugs.. Like, I couldn't see anything on my screen save some grass and half of my character, and it was all black in white. To solve this, we used a Pokemon strategy guide to maneuver my character some 300+ steps to get to Professor Oak's lab where he proceeded to give me the Mew.. Which I wasn't even sure of until I restarted the game. I was literally walking blind.

1.) You can do the same with Action Replay.
2.) Yeah, I'd have to agree there. I did the same, but mostly because I had a level 100 Lugia that was rape.
3.) How?

I personally found the games on the portable hand-helds to be a little bit of fun in drag-time.

Else, Poké-mans just isn't a topic discussed near my location at all.
