Does anybody play WoW?

Post by metkillerjoe »

Just wondering. I have a yearly subscription, but my guild is a bunch of 70s (I'm a 40).

I'm on Ravencrest (Telemakhos), btw.

Coilfang ftw! 8)

I played last summer, and that game can get good. Got a warrior to level... 53? I think. He's Fury, and fury is gooooood.

It's a pretty good(ADDICTING) game.

I preferred EQ, but WoW stole all of the players with its name recognition.

Never played it. Don't find those types of games interesting.

I played the demo.
It was alright. Not really my type of MMO, though. I usually go for Sci-Fi.

If there was a sci-fi version of WoW (i.e. WoStarcraft) I'd go to the bank today and get out enough money for a year subscription.

As for WoW, I played it for maybe half a year. 70 Undead Rogue, was going to get a blood elf paladin to 70 to, but after I leveled up to 49 I was like, wtf is the point, so I closed the program, and deleted all trace of it and never played it again. I still had a month left in my subscription :/

I sort of want to play it now (almost 6 months after I deleted it now) but I can't afford it. Maybe when I get a job or something and have some sort of income I'll start playing it again. I hope by then there will be a better one out, maybe Sci-Fi'ish.

Raids involved time, time that I didn't have while living with my parents. I think I'd enjoy WoW a lot more if I knew I had time for all of the instances. WoW is big on end-game instancing, that's the major focus of the game. However, if you don't have long blocks of uninterrupted time, you can't do this. Therefore, I was left to just straight out grinding and questing, I never really ended up doing much instances for any of my characters. PvP wasn't a whole lot of fun either, since I ended up going against tier 8 armor dudes and I'd die immediately when attacking someone. Only way I had a chance was when I was like 69 and I was fighting a 65 or below character :P

I leveled with friends, so that part wasn't a problem. Can't level another character though, I've tried its just too boring.

As long as you do it differently each time it's not so bad. For example, do one character on the alliance and one on the horde, or just choose one character as a melee-type class and the next as like a mage or something (both on horde/alliance) if you want to keep your ability to send cash to your other character from your main.

I'd level with friends, but I have no friends :x

Get in a clan!

I remember I told my old clan, when I left, that I'd be back this coming summer(I left at the beginning of the school year). Anyway, last I checked on the main website, the clan sorta' broke down. So now, they're all over the place.

If I ever get bored enough to get back on, I may start a new one for kicks, invite 'em all back 8)

'twas fun, but weak :( I sort of enjoyed my pally way more since I died almost an eighth of the time my rogue did while leveling, that pretty much made up for the fact that the pally was boring as shit :P.

I was in a guild for most of my leveling process for my rogue. Chronic was it's name, and we had some awesome times. Then one day the guild got closed for drug references (no kidding). I didn't do the drugs, it was just an awesome guild while it lasted.

I played for a bit, but never got past level 30. Also Paladins and rogues are a bitch in the warsong gulch at low levels. My main character was a cow dude hunter.

I wish you could play as a human hunter, All the alliance hunter races suck (hate night elves, dwarves are annoying, and draenei are ugly)
