Audiosurf is a music-adapting puzzle racer where you use your own music to create your own experience. The shape, the speed, and the mood of each ride is determined by the song you choose. You earn points for clustering together blocks of the same color on the highway, and compete with others on the internet for the high score on your favorite songs.

Audiosurf on Steam includes The Orange Box soundtrack, integrated with the game to enable"Still Alive"surfing and more. In addition, Audiosurf is one of the first titles to leverage the recently announced Steamworks, offering full support for the Steam Achievements that appear on Steam Community profile pages.

* Play with any music from your own collection--the game supports MP3s, iTunes M4As, WMAs, CDs and OGGs
* Valve's The Orange Box Original Soundtrack is included.
* Online scoreboards for each song you play.
* Choose your strategy from 14 available characters.
* Track your progress as Steam Achievements.

I'd have to say. This is one of the best games I've ever played. You can select any song on your computer, and it will create a track, and speeds based off of the song's beats. I played it for hours already, it's the most fun I've had in a while. You can pick a slow soothing song for a slow track, or a fast song for a fast track.

Daft Punk

Anyways, the game is 10$ via the website and Steam. You can also try out the demo.

Downloading the demo. Honestly though, I ;ove the concept. I usually just listen to music while a play a game. This would bring it to a whole new level. Awesome.

Eh, doesn't look that great IMO. I'd rather play DDR/ITG/SM. This looks like it would be too easy/get boring quickly.

Although if you can play ANY song. Somebody who has this MSN/AIM me. I have a song for you to try. Hehe.

Doesn't work for me.

It's missing something in the installation path, then I install what it needs, and it's still missing it.

ahh well.

Looked good anyway.

I have been addicted to this game... there was a beta a while back that had more features than the demo. B.Y.O.B is a pretty hard song to play on if you need a suggestion :

I'm a person who never liked music games. I don't like Guitar Hero, hate DDR. I looked at the videos for this thought, eh this will get so boring after a while.

Yesterday I tried the demo, after the 4 song limit I was just begging for more. So I bought it... 9.5 hours later, I find myself still playing. I finally stopped to do something else but I could have kept going. Believe me try the demo, this game is addicting.

I'm sorry guys but this game is not fun. :(

For anybody who's ever played a DDR/SM game... There's different colours of notes. And you're supposed to hit all of them. And they go to the music. This whole deal with only hitting certain colours in groups and making the song not really flow thing-- Just no. :(

There are different characters that have different objectives ...
If you want just one color pick the "mono" character. I play with mono ninja :P
