That is awesome. It was only a matter of time before they did it anyways. I'm extremely excited to see this happening. December 4th eh...not too bad at all. Can't wait!

There is little to no chance of it happening but maybe Halo1 Xbox Live

Thats pretty freaking awesome...But i just have a 20 gig HD and halo 1 is a few gigs so ya. Also i already own the game so why buy it again on live? (unless its free...) I better save up for that 120 gig HD

I already have the game. But it's awesome, I think they actually said they were going to to this at E3. Bring some of the originals to be downloadable.

Anyways, I won't buy it. Unless they add Achievements and a Live multiplayer.

Is there any benifit to buying these games over the originals or over the one you already have? It just seems like a slightly lowered price (or are those old games not that expensive)?

The only game I'd consider buying is Ninja Gaiden. I might get Halo 1 if they have achievements.

I'm with Tural, I'd buy ninja gaiden. My disc got ruined and we could only get up to that point with the train before it got dirty disked. The only problem is that since we're regarded as a poopyhole by the xbox team, we don't have some kind of central place to download from, so I'd be waiting a few yearss to download Ninja Gaiden from the US...=(

Anyways, like Tural said, I would only get Halo 1 if it came with achievements. Although, the likelihood of them doing that is 0-1.

Does anyone think they will do the same with Halo 2? If so, wouldn't that mean that old maps could be modded on xbox live with ease?

By offering a service that is beneficial to customers? Maybe people don't feel like swapping out discs every time they want to play a game? Or maybe you just can't find a game or don't feel like searching through the bargain bin for it. They're not forcing you to buy these versions, they're just a convenience.

It's the exact same principle as the Wii's Virtual Console and the Xbox Live Arcade. What is there to complain about?

That is the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. That doesn't make any sense. Why would you even say that? Must be fun on that "I hate Microsoft even though they give their customers more features, while not making them pay for it." That makes perfect sense. Amazing logic. Halo 2 is already compatible on the 360, so I doubt they would. It would be real cool to see halo 2 with achievements though

That money making comment annoys me...Sorry for them giving you a good service...

There is one point that I thought was good that someone else made, that whilst its not a ploy to make people buy larger hdd's, it certainly makes a higher incentive for people to buy it...But that's what its there for yes?
