Just wanted to say that Gears was released in 2006...I think that omits it from any sort of Game of the Year nomination for 2007.

I'm going with The Orange Box, only because it has 4 awesome games in it.

It has 5 games in 1 box. And Episode One was not an awesome game.

i don't think 5 games can win game of the year. however it will be a far superior set of games to halo 3.

Game of the year is pathetic. Rarely is it an accurate depiction of quality. It's more just for show than it is for actually determining what games are better than others.

GotY is a popularity contest, which resembles a close correlation to marketing efforts, most of the time.

Orange Box is just a bunch of games repackaged...I don't see why it should be Game of the Year, or even considered for it...if anything, from what I've seen (and my tastes), it should be H3, Bioshock, or Need for Speed: Pro Street.

lol Gears of war should be removed Golden eye for the Nintendo 64 is better then gears of war.

umm the only re-packaged part is HL2 and HL2 episode 1

HL2 epsidoe 2 and Portal and Team Fortress 2 are all new games.

Yes, but that's only because Goldeneye kicks butt.

Agreeing with what shadowkhas said, I don't think some rereleases bundled with a few sequels would get GotY. I'm guessing H3 will get it.

everyone knows H3 will get it however let me restate that these are not "a few sequels" it does come with one brand new revolutionary game, Portal, which in my opinion is worth the 59.99 alone if you buy for console.


i don't see the relevancy in the fact that they're sequels either did you forget that this is Halo 3 ?

k, Sir Literal, a couple of sequels, and I never stated that the fact that they were sequels would affect its chances of getting GotY. But oh no, I said it anyway. I'm sorry if I offended you.

Also, Portal looks flipping sweet, but it's supposed to be rather short.

I have my Orange Box sitting on my desk. Haven't played it yet cuz I am playing Halo3.
