Do you need a credit card to start and XBL Gold ccount on a 360 if you have the subscription code?
Or can you just use the code and then when it runs out ot goes to silver?

Start a silver account. Then enter a code.

What will that do?
Will I be able to acess the Marketplace, and download the new Halo 2 Maps?
I have like no experience with XBL, so I dunno, lol

Well, I've only done this once. And it gave me 30 days of gold membership. So set up a silver and then just see what happens. If you don't get 30 days, then enter in your code now.

...That will upgrade your silver account to a gold account. If you enter a gold subscription code, then it upgrades. Pretty straight forward...
Yes, you can download the maps and marketplace content. (Although Halo 2 maps are not on the marketplace, they are via the Halo 2 menu)

When you have a 360, you are entitlled to 3 free months of xbl when you register. You do not need a cc, as there are prepaid cards now.
Also, halo 2 maps are paid via xbox1's payment system, which is credit card only.

Alright, thanks.
I dunno where the three months are, lol

its 3 seperate accounts though, meaning 1 free month for 3 accounts

When you register for xbl, on silver...xbl will go "oh you're entitlted to 1 free month of gold!"

I dunno the kid that owned the 360 before me probably used them all up, lol
I traded this guy my extra iPod Video for his whole 360, with a HDD, and 2 wireless controllers.

Sorry for the bumb, I didn't feel like making a new topic, please don't lock this.
Anyways, how do I get 48 hour free trials to work on my 360?

Go to the Marketplace tab. At the bottom you should see something that says Redeem Code. At EB Games they sell gold memberships. Just type in the Code, 48-Hour, 1Month, 3Month, 12Month, or Microsoft points. It will redeem the card for you. No credit card needed. Just go to redeem code and punch it in.
