counter strike is fun, but i personally prefer console games and i suck with the keyboard and mouse. But i hooked up my wired 360 controller and i was betta. CS:S is a great game and its one of my favorite PC games.

It sucked away my life, so I play it no longer (along with pretty much any other game). So, I have something personal against it.

It's a video game, not crack. Get over it. We know you don't like video games.
Personally I love the game. love the ability to create sprays and kil the people distracted by them while they type "omg how do u make dem transparent?" The few things that piss me off is: Hackers, Campers, Ragers, getting hax calls when you play legit, Autosnipers in DM, nubs that don't play the objective and rather go for the kill rather than plant the bomb, AFK's that have the bomb on start, CT's that rather camp a spot or hallway rather than get the hosties and when they do, they get there when theres 5 seconds left in the round.

it's a great game, and i like how you can make scripts for it and such (i set it up so i can host gungames on LAN). all-in-all, it's a pretty solid game, and i really like it. other than the things that cuda mentioned, what i don't like is how there's always the one guy in the server that's absolutely pro level. my friend is like that; i've played against him in a LAN party, once he has an M4/AK/scout/AWP, there's nothing you can do. i've probably killed him twice in a game.

Another thing. Mods. RPG and Gungame are really fun when you play from the brginning. But, RPG especially, sucks when you play against people in the high levels with maxed out everything, or in gungame, when you start in the middle or near the end.
