I was just wondering if there were any other DDR/ITG players who come here.
For those of you who don't know... Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) is that music rhythm game commonly found at arcades. The point of the game is to hit the arrow on the floor at the same time the arrow on the screen reaches a certain point. In The Groove (ITG) Is pretty much the same game as DDR, just with less songs, that usually are all pretty bland and have steps that are really crazy hard.
Anyhow.... who here plays?

I don't play it at arcades, but I'll sometimes fire up StepMania and play on my computer.

I'm actually currently writing a simfile for Survivalism by Nine Inch Nails for Stepmania. It's coming out fun...

How did I know?
I used to have DDR, I got pretty good at it, but meh... I lost the disk, and I really don't even care about it anymore.

It's pretty strange how they do the difficulty level, in Supernova I'm ok at half of the 8 steps, but on Ultramix for xbox and DDR Max 2 for PS2 I can do ~9 steps with ease. On the really slow songs on the harder levels I tend to make them go at 1.5 speed or something, I cant bear the ones that are like 110 bpm and crawl up slowly while a million steps are bombarding you so close together.

Same...I play better when steps go fast and I can see clearly what's going on. Songs that I used to fail instantly I can do at 1.5 or 2x.

I never have liked this game very much (probably because I suck at it), but I'll play it every once in a while.
