vs

Its coming in march!

Supposedly on my birthday of march 28...I can't wait to get this game.
But alas! The high amount of effects give me the impression that it won't run on my current pc, which is incredibly unfortunate. A light at the end of the tunnel though (well two really), the game uses the same engine as Generals :Zero hour, which runs fine on the pc, so I may be able to run it after all...
And if that's not the case, I have my beautiful xbox 360 to play it on...
So are you guys going to get C&C3? If you don't I will be forced to murder your babies...C&C games are awesome

:D:D
Also, if you do get it, what platform? 360 or PC?

I'm gonna get it for 360, I started playing C & C a long time ago. C&C red alert was probably the best RTS I ever played. Evar! I greatly dislike how they brought back NOD and that other faction from the original because in red alert I liked playing as the crazy commies with chernobyl factories x10 and like tesla coils everywhere.

i used to like command and conquer, but not so much anymore. i probably won't get it, but command and conquer usually does have good RTS games.

This topic sounds vaguely familiar.
I'm planning on getting it for PC...hopefully it will be more like the original Command & Conquer games rather than Generals. Generals was a great game in its own right, but too slow paced for a Command & Conquer game.

That's an old topic sir, if I were to post there I would be teabagged by each moderator for bumping.
The game does indeed have better graphics than zero hour...
I also agree with you, GTAF, that generals was a good game on its own(without the C&C name), but changed too much to be like the others.

Yeah supposedly the battle for middle earth 2 is what they're basing it off...Ive never tried it myself but its supposedly great...
I'll look for a review for that to chec out for myself now actually...
But it would be better on the pc no doubt...its just a pity i probably wont be able to play it

I loved Tiberium Son, so I'm pumped. I also enjoyed playing Zero Hour.
I haven't decided if I should get it for 360 or PC yet though.

I already have it reserved for the PC. The game looks incredible. The graphics are awesome, and if you watch the game play video it looks amazing.

They have not been announced, they have been speculated though...
the game runs on a modified engine of C&C Generals...So chances are if you can run that very well, you can run C&C 3 quite well...
I hope it has options to dumb down graphics to Generals level, coz then I can run it

Generals wasn't a very good game... the first one was though... so I hope the 3rd is more like the first. Though if it's based on the same engine, it may be... not as good as it could have been (like BF2142)

I don't see how this should be called "Command and Conquer 3" since there have been 6 previous C&C games:
-Command and Conquer
-Command and Conquer: Red Alert
-Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars
-Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2
-Command and Conquer: Renegade
-Command and Conquer: Generals
Doesn't make much sense to me (and yes all those were off the top of my head, there might be more that I don't know of)

hehehe
You see the original command and conquer went by the tiberium storyline...
Later they introduced the red alert storyline, which linked to the tiberium storyiine but was not the same part as the original. Later Generals was released as another seperate story and time era from the other two previous ones...
So basically the name command and conquer 3 refers to the continuation of the original command and conquer storyline which involves tiberium (hence tiberium wars)...
Command and conquer 1 (referred to as tiberium dawn)
command and conqeur 2 tiberium sun
command and conquer 3 tiberium wars.
_
Red alert
Red alert 2
_
Generals
That's how it is...
