Well, after much begging and money spent, I was finaly able to afford an Xbox 360. So after being laughed at trying to get a pre-order, I went to Walmart. Walmart said they would be doing no pre-orders, but selling them on a first come first serve basis. I thought that was fair, and I live like 1 min. away. So, being assured I went home and waited. I got there about 10:30. I was second in line. Seconds not bad, so I had assured my self and Premium package. At about 12 though, more people in line, and people started walking up and handing tickets to employees to get in before everyone. But Walmart said they had no pre-orders. First come first serve. Well, I was certainly before those people and yet...So after they promised us 14 Premium packages(11 guys ahead of me)I decided to not argue and just wait. Another hour later, I finaly get up there and they tell me there is only Core left. They had once again broke a promise. So I bought the core hoping it would be fine. Well, as it turns out, the core is basicly a piece of plastic that looks nice but does nothing without a hd. So its sitting here, doing nothing. I cant use it. So Im going to go to Walmart tomorrow and talk to the manager and discuss thier policies and hopefuly get a Premium from them. Im just really mad right now. But anyone even remotly thinking of getting a core, dont.

well with a core, you can play the game but you can't save your progress w/o teh HD. Did you use my XBox 360 Stress Reducer?? that will help.

For those of you who bought the core system, how do the controlers plug in? I only found three USB ports (two in front, one in back) on my premium box and I'm assuming that it takes up to 4 controlers. Also, are the controlers reverse compatable? It would be nice to be able to use my old Xbox controlers instead of having to get new ones.

Speaking of controlers, who here things that Microsoft ripped off Sony's controler set up?

To give you an update on my current situation. After talking to my local walmart branch manager, I get a pre-order from Walmart for t3h next Xbox 360 Premium. I just return my core and get the premium free of charge for my incovience. And the manager who gave out pre-orders to the people and caused all of this is going to have to go before the walmart board and explain her actions. Woot! So today is a good day. Im just glad I didnt have to mention the 400 pounds of explosives buried underneath walmart. That could have been.....messy.

Word to the wise, the best line that seals a deal is always, "Well, I'l discuss this with my laywer and call you back". Thats for any situation though.

I hope I am an insperation to you all for getting walmart to meet my damands.

Four trigger buttons, all of them digital. start/back(select) buttons in the middle as opposed to off to the side. more "handlebar" shape as opposed to the clasic "oval-with-handles-on-the-side". It's almost identical to the plastation's controler except for a more rounded look and the positional swap of the D-pad and joystick.

I cant believe they only have 20 360's stocked in EVERY store in Indiana! This isnt fair, I want my XBOX 360 NOW! ehrm... exuse me, im mad right now. (BTW, thanks cuda for your xbox 360 stress reducer sheet, it really helped alot.

im going to ask for mine next x-mas, mb even the one after next because everything is cheaper

i have brains and use them very well, unlike the millions who pay....well...millions lol for all this stuff, ALSO the xbl might get cheaper (the wireless one)

so my release date isnt for another year or two.

Meh, as much as I want one, there is too many bugs in it. I can wait and buy it for $400 later on. For now, my modded xbox will do fine.
