The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
spoiler's fine. the only way i can tell it was a spoiler is because i know what it means by worms, and when you're at that point in the storyline, it's not a spoiler anymore.
oh, and if anyone's done the fighter's guild quests, is the story as good as other guilds, like the mage's guild? (no spoilers plz)

It's not really that spectacular. You pretty much do random missions until about 75% through when you start following some story. It's worth it just to have done it, but it's not as good as the theives guild or the dark brotherhood.[cc]z@nd! wrote:oh, and if anyone's done the fighter's guild quests, is the story as good as other guilds, like the mage's guild? yeah, the mages guild was sorta like that, where you do the reccomendations, then the first arcane university gets the story started. i was just curious if there's a plot to the fighter's guild missons (like, it's the fighter's guild fighting off a hidden evil or something) because i hope it's something more than "go to this ayleid ruin/cave/fort and kill the vampires/skeletons/rats that are annoying the townspeople."
oh, and i have a qeustion about one quest interfering with another (spoilers in small font). i just got high enough in the thieves guild to use fathis ules as a fence, but because i didn't give him the honorblade in a previous quest, he just says "you made your decision, now get away from me!" and exits me out of the dialog box when i talk to him, as opposed to letting me sell goods to him. any ideas on how to fix this?

yeah. it'd be stupid to only be able to join one, however you may want to hold off on joining the dark brotherhood if you get the chance. i'm not sure, but i think joining leaves you out on getting healing from churches. haven't checked, but i'd rather be safe than sorry.

You can still get healed by the church if you're in the DB. The church only refuses to heal you if you have sinned and not repented for it. (IE- commited a crime and have not paid for it; guards are looking for you.)
Just keep this terminology:
"It's only illegal if you get caught", -Some T-shirt that I have
and,
"When you do somthing right, people aren't sure you've done somthing at all." -God, Futurama
Keep that in mind while playing Oblivion, and you'll be just fine. Nobody should ever know that you are in the DB, let alone kill somone for them, so you can't be punished for it to begin with. Unless you get caught. Then you just pay for your crime and get on with your life.

definitely two great quotes worth remembering.FReAK wrote:Just keep this terminology:
