Agreed. A Person can make an amazing picture in MS Paint, does that mean MS Paint = Photoshop?

Different advantages... If you're going to work for a big company, ie: Pixar, Universal, etc. To be a 3D animator/Effects artist, and tell them "Well I've never used 3DS Max or Cinema 4D, But I'm pretty damn good in Blender!" They won't hire you.

Artwise, 3DS Max is just all around more powerful. You get what you pay for.
