I'm not sure if this is exactly what you mean, but I was once awoken when something in my dream hit me in the face. Doesn't seem quite the same, though.
I once jumped about three feet in the air as I woke up from a dream where a bee stung me. haha

Going to be honest. I didn't read a single post in this thread besides the first one.

Yes, god forbids it. Now crawl in a hole and never post again. :P
(JK)

I sometimes get it where in a dream I'll start falling off a cliff and right when I hit the ground in my dream I fall off the bed and smash my face into the floor.

Also sometimes I get that dream where I'm flying and when I wake up I'll be standing for god knows what reason.

like something is too much or too big and I want it to get smaller
Yeah, I have had something like this happen several times. The time I most vividly remember was back when I still had a bunk bed. I was half-asleep, and I imagined little pebbles falling from the lower corner of the top bunk. (They just kinda materialized there.) I realized I could sorta click and drag from the corner to make it bigger, and thought it would be fun to drag it all the way to the opposite corner. When I did so, I imagined a giant boulder right over me, and that if I moved I would be crushed. What was especially odd about this was that the boulder kept "falling" every 3 seconds or so, but I never made the connection that there wasn't anything there until I woke up. I distinctly remember that what most terrified me about this giant boulder was it's size. It seemed larger than the earth.
Wikipedia - Sleep Paralysis wrote: * Paralysis: this occurs after waking up or shortly before falling asleep. The person cannot move any body part, and only has minimal control over blinking and breathing. This paralysis is the same paralysis that occurs when dreaming. The brain paralyzes the muscles to prevent possible injury during dreams, as some body parts may move during dreaming. If the person wakes up suddenly, the brain may still think that it is dreaming, and sustains the paralysis.

* Hallucinations: Images or speaking that appear during the paralysis. The person may think that someone is standing beside them or they may hear strange sounds. These may be dreamlike, possibly causing the person to think that they are still dreaming. Often it is reported as feeling a weight on one's chest, as if being underneath a person or heavy object.

These symptoms can last from mere seconds to several minutes (although they can feel like much longer) and can be frightening to the person. There may be some body movement, but it is very unlikely and hard for a person to accomplish.
This article seems to be pretty accurate, but occasionally when I'm pulling an all-nighter I can feel the edge of the size effect occuring.

I get sleep paralysis sometimes, and the only way I can get out of it is if I force myself to hold my breath and start to regain consciousness again.
