OK so i have decided to make a computer case out of a briefcase and i need suggestions of parts and prices and i mean the best parts and configurations as possibble

Easy, just stick a laptop in a briefcase, screw it down, and put sliders on the top that opens the computer with the briefcase.

how big a breifcase?
and damn that will be heavy

I don't think you'll be able to take that on planes.
But sorry I don't know much about building computers.

it will certainly be lighter than your standard desktop computer case and it will be standard size with an lcd moniter that just barely fits in the lid

You'll need fan holes. Also, check that a standard size motherboard will fit.

So a regular sized motherboard will fit? What kind of worked out do you mean? Different parts are different sizes and have different power requirements.

To actually buy the parts, I highly recommend http://www.newegg.com/ . They have pretty good prices and tons of reviews.

I think it will all fit.. My grandmas CPU is REAL small.. and she has a LCD screen. xD.

Have you put into consideration adequate cooling?

I have a spare laptop monitor sitting around from an old dead laptop and ive always wondered how to wire it to a pc/xbox1 etc, anyone have any helpful links?

Which standard though?
ATX or MATX?
ATX would be a little too big in my personal opinion a MATX would be better as those are designed for media centers although may not support crossfire/sli i dont think it would matter as long as you had a decent set of components and adequate cooling.

also recommendations are to use a micro atx board one that supports at least on on board Ethernet port. probably using intel chipset considering some of there newer chips have been able to have lower power needs and decent functionality.another recommendations would be get two laptop drive and then you can slap them into and raid 0 array for up to 500 gb(s) storage. (my lappy lapz has 320 total). other then that probably a power supply that is under 750 watts because they get large at that size to much smaller of course at lower wattages.

Mini ATX and/or Liquid Cooling mb? You'll have to add a lot of shock protection if you still want to make the PC Portable.

a brief case sound slike it will insolate it and keep it hot....

will it be open when in use? or will it be closed?

will your monitor be in it?
or are you just going to use it like any other tower?

monitor in top internal stuff in bottom fans and psu and stuff in back i dont know if i will cover everything with the keyboard or not

If your briefcase is about the size of an xbox then your going to need a mini ITX motherboard, laptop hardrive, a small power supply, and a slimline cd/dvd drive and a dremel to cut the briefcase.

Just a few questions.

Is this going to be a main computer or more for show?

Is there a price limit you at or not really? Don't worry, it shouldn't be over $600.

And what do you mean by super computer, something just fast or are you going to need it for specific things?
