Now available in black, and white.
Announced at the WWDC today, as expected.
Anyone gonna get one? It's roughly half the price of it's predecessor.
I'm really tempted to sell my iPod Touch for it, but I like the compatibility of my current firmware and all of my applications/customisation on it.

I got a 8GB iPhone and I love it...
In my opinion its much more better than the iTouch because it has almost all of the iTouch features from what I see, or atleast all the ones In need to suite all my needs.
I would recommend the iPhone if you got some money to blow. Its wide variety of applications and the features are great...

Agreed. Just dont play drums with it in your pocket. The "vibrator" gets loose and instead of vibrating my phone just scratches.

I don't seen anything really different other than new firmware (which older iPhones recieve dont they?) and 3g. >_>
And for once, white looks better than black there.
No price announced for Australian contracts yet so I'll find out later I suppose. I'm already on a contract, however. 1 year left before I can get a new phone...I'm not too interested anyhow. Plus, by the time I've finished it, iPhone 3 could be out

I have a PSP. It has a whole lot of homebrew and plus. More than I've seen for both the touch and phone.

I have a PSP with too much homebrew to name, and I still prefer my Phone...
PSPs are cool and all but the iPhone is just great.

Just watched it, looks like a promising year for the iPhone...
I hope to upgrade to leopard soon though, so I can use that SDK....maybe make halo modding possible on the iPhone/iTouch

I would also like to see a Android phone in action before I go out and buy an iPhone.
EDIT: Whoa, wait a second. No Copy and Paste function, still has a crappy 2mp camera, no video recording, no Java? What the hell is this thing good for besides saying, "Oh look I gots a iPhone."

Its fun to use really and thats a key point. I am slightly surprised they didn't update those things though...But at the same time, its Apple...
I haven't needed to copy and paste yet though.

Wow. The Android
emulator has all of that stuff (well, you need one of the many student-projects to record video I think as the main system doesn't come with a camera app, but the emulator will support various different cameras)
I think I'll stick to Android here, from what I've seen in the emulator, it's everything OpenMoko could have been but said no to.

PSP+phone+Ipod Touch > iPhone. iPhone is just a wannabe and I'll wait for the next one next year, see if it's worth buying.

What the hell? Wow are you that lazy that you don't want to leave the house so professionals can do it for you? Big freakin' deal...
