The funny part is not actually the hacking...which is quite the contrary...but read the article.

Thank you.

Note: I am not responsible for any action you take by seeing this flash (piracy).

I put it there for shits and giggles, sue me.

I think 90% of the people here have seen that video. You're not going to get in trouble for it. And I agree with Tural.

What is fun there is that this website is agaisnt piracy but they weren't even protected from it.

umm, hacking isn't piracy, it's hacking...

but what's better is the possible funding cuts for the RIAA. hopefully it'll mean an end to these frivolous lawsuits.

I see nothing funny about this.

All I see is that it's another excuse for corporations like that to further attack honest people.

And why the fuck would they put ThePirateBay.org on there? How stupid does someone have to be?

Maybe it's another person/thing trying to get them in trouble? I don't know >_> ;_;

That's part of why it's funny.
Well, at least to me.

Yeah right, that's totally funny. The people who want change act by doing illegal acts on a corporation. That'll get us somewhere! yeah! Totally! This'll make the RIAA want to loosen up!

No. This'll make RIAA ticked off and it shows them that the internet, no, the people who want change are nothing but ungrateful assholes after all and we shouldn't give them a break at all.

But no, it's funny.

Good post, Kirk.

This is not funny, it's really just immature.

I can't seem to figure out what is supposed to be so funny/ not funny.
What is it exactly?

A website against pirating was hacked, and all their content was deleted. At least, that's what I'm getting out of the conversation.

It's closer to being ironic than it is to being funny.

I didn't mean it's funny like that, my intentions were completely harmless in my other post.

My mentality isn't "omg thei r kewl 2 poast pirate bai! Bring down teh systemz!".
Erasing the website is one thing, but posting the opposite cause is another. I was just agreeing with you on the stupidity. They should have stopped at erasing the website. The link was the one thing I disagreed with. I'm fine with the rest.

I find it OK. It was bound to happen anyways, but the linkage to TPB was not a good move, unless you are a supporter of a competitor such as Mininova.

They should've stopped on not even doing it...don't get me wrong, I think the RIAA and their actions are idiotic, but like Kirk said, it's stupid to show them that their actions are founded on reality.
