What are your thoughts on them. I was thinking of getting one but dont realy know the what I can do with one. Feel free to convince me.

I hate devices with a touch screen and no stylus. I don't want to put my finger on the screen.

My friend has one. It's alright, kind of like the iPhone without the ability to make phone calls.

Get an iPhone, that way you only have to carry around one thing.

I think I've heard some stuff abot Voip apps on them??

Best thing I evar bought. First of all, the screen is the best friggin thing I have ever seen. It's shmexy. 2nd, you can jailbreak it and get a ton of different kinds of apps. Plus, once Apple enables support for making them, the number of them will explode and you'll never be bored again. What else can I say? Videos pwn, a youtube button from the front owns, the accelerometer (why don't they just call it a gyroscope or whatever >_>) is great and creates a new level of awesomeness for lots of apps, internet browsing, and all kinds of other stuff.

My only complaints are the high price compared to the amount of space you get, and that there's no flash in the safari browser. Maybe they'll do what sony never did for the PSP though; get off their lazy arses and make an update, or maybe there'll be a tweak made available for download if you jailbreak it.

Anyway, I'd say get it if you don't have a whole lot of music/videos and you've got the money. It's definitely one of the, if not the best choice in a mobile electronic device I've ever made.

If I do get one I will most definently jailbreak it.
But I still dont know all i can do with it.

Yessir, next month. The apps are completely mind-blowingly awesome right now, but next month, there'll probably be some deaths due to people getting too excited by the bounty of new apps they can get.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, lol, has anyone seen that SNL with (I think?) Gilda Radner? It was a fake commercial for that hair spray with the famous singer back in the day (I forget her name) who always does that thing with her tongue. That was so funny, they kept saying "excited" all the time, I was totally lol'ing in mah pants.

That will be cool.
Right now the only hold for me is the price.

For me, it was worth every penny.















And uh, that's not just because I got it for Christmas. Heh, heh.


By the way, does anyone have this case? The people in the reviews say it's an awesome case, but I don't know if I'm willing to dish out $20 for a half-assed case. I do need one though, since right now I don't even have a case, I have a rubber sleeve, that always makes it hard to get out of my pocket and gets dirt and hair and crap all over it, all the time.

The same, Don't want to get stuff on my screen.

I think they're an overkill. I just want my music to play, I don't need, and I wouldn't use the extra crap they put onto it. Therefore, I'm not getting one.

I say that to kids at my school. "Why do i need a ipod if i can use ANY mp3 player to play my music?"

It looks brilliant...I would have bought it but 2 things hold me back...
High price (higher than what you have to pay, 420 for 8gb and 550 for 16gb) and of course, mediocre sound quality. If every single ipod is anything to go by, then I won't really favour the sound and the lack of custom EQ.

Are you crazy? It's 300 bucks for the 8 gig, and 400 for the 16 gig. The sound quality is awesome too.

Look at what country I'm from. Look at what I wrote. But incase you didn't notice the first time around: "Higher than what you have to pay".

I also don't really believe your take on sound quality either, you hardly described why its awesome...Well, you didn't at all. Every single ipod I've listened to (which is all of them from 3rd generation up excluding the touch) does not have very good sound quality compared to other brands such as creative.

Not one player I've come across comes close to beating my meizu so if I were to buy the touch, I'd essentially be buying the thing for all its other features rather than its music...And really, the iPod touch is an mp3 player...Which is what I'd use it for most and all its other features second.

But I just wanna try it first...no stores have real things (a metal slab with a picture on it is real classy apple)

Posting from my iPod touch right now...it's awesome. I use it as a PDA ad it works great. Unfortunately it's definitely nothing spectacular unless you hack it.

The ones I've used in person are cool...but I definitely wouldn't buy one right now. Maybe if my iPod decided to break, I'd think about it, but I doubt it.
