Your computer won't last you more than five years with a budget under 1G...

What are you going to be using the computer for? Gaming? Multimedia (i.e. watching DVDs/HD DVDs/Blu ray and having a big hard drive for storing music/videos/pictures on)? School (writing papers and having an ultraportable laptop to take around)? And are you looking at a notebook or desktop?

well im willing to take the risk because im desperate for a computer and im asian and stereo types meet this situation "asians are cheap" true right now so yeah...

Edit: 0m3g4Muff1n987 i suppose ill be using it for a little bit of gaming but i dont expect an extremely good graphics card, just one that will be able to play crysis or crisis w/e with reasonable graphics maybe a Nvidia Gforce 7500 card

Lol yeah, especially not on a Geforce 7500. If you want to play Crysis even with everything on low, I'd recommend something with at least a 8600GT, which means probably at least $1,000.

Crysis is pretty even on the lowest settings. No problem there. But I forgot you're looking at a desktop, which lowers the price a LOT. Heck, I was just on ibuypower today and found a sub-$700 with pretty good parts, and I think an 8800GT.

The RAM is gonna destroy you. You got the smae slots I got and they're roughly 40 bucks a Gig. Your HD Can stay, but for sure the card has to go. Theres a great site for a lot of the parts you need,

www.techbargains.com

It can find every deal by online vendors and also stores like BestBuy, CompUSA, etc.

If you are looking to get a computer for under $700 go to www.IbuyPower.com It's probably one of the best places to get a decent gaming computer of your choices. I got mine from there 4 years ago, and it's still running strong. It cost me about $600. I only updated it to play the latest games. Other than that it could run everything, I ran Crysis on medium with it.

No offense to anybody here:

Visit Crysis-Online forums. They got my cost reduced from 2500 to 1400. No site or program can do that.
