With my mom, we're going to a restaurant. With my dad, we're eating fish.
We're not really big on Thanksgiving.

When the nice men of early America first discovered this wonderful land, they happily met the nice little Indian men. The Indian men showed the nice settlers how to grow corn and such, and they were all very best of happy friends and had a nice little dinner together.
This is what we know as Thanksgiving. We sit, and eat a crap load of food.

Stereotypical little...
No, it's a time for families to get together. The point isn't to eat, it's to be with family. Something you brits obviously never do.

Your entire family of aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and everyone else? I'm talking about your BIG family (or most of who can make it.)

I'm gonna be on a bike as usual.......... NOT! :p

We got invited over to ~4 members' homes to eat and play around.
Normally it would be a working day but I don't think even the most religious person would let guys like us in on Turkey Day. No, no sir.
In fact I think I'd pop a cap if anyone bugged me on mah eatin' day...

So we're gonna play ping-pong, eat, play a bit more, eat pie, back to turkey, pie, pie, pie, ping-pong, and pie.
Sounds fun, eh? :p

Miss you guys, have a fun + safe Turkey Day!!

P.S. Just so you can see what I've been up to....
The Buffalo Wild Wings Blazzin' Challenge, and we found a scorpion IN our room. wtf?

P.P.S. Gametag, have you ever been to Buffalo Wild Wings @ North Point Mall? Could you explain the Challenge mbmb?

Thanksgiving is the day Columbus came to America, raped the Native American women, and stole large portions of land. USA!

I'll be eating lots of turkey.

Fag.

Going to Aloha, Oregon for Thanksgiving with my Aunt (with ham) and other close relatives then coming home and having Thanksgiving there with turkey.

Thanksgiving is usually one of the few times of the year when a whole family gets together. It's not just about the meal, Philly, you fucking homo.

OMG IT'S KETCHUP!
ARE YOU BACK FOR THE HOLIDAYS???

I'm going to my grandmother's house. We're Italian so we usually have Turkey, along with... fish, lasagna, spaghetti, soups, roast, salads, pizzas, and much more. Although all I eat is the Seafood.

So I guess the original Thanksgiving food wasn't fatty enough. That's a true American dinner there :P
Philly wrote:Oh, it's just another excuse for Americans to stuff thier faces then?
Yes, that's actually exactly what it is.

Over the years, it's gone from Thanksgiving to Turkey Day. Whatever happened to thanksgiving? This is the day you're supposed to give thanks to the people around you for what they did, but now it's just Turkey Day. And no, it's not the day where we worship the Turkey *readies knife*

lul.
It's supposed to be where we give thanks to everything ... or something like that.

See, Thanksgiving has lost it's meaning. We now just get our entire family together and eat, and eat ... and eat.
Most of the time it's Turkey, dressing, chicken, ham, cornbread, okra, broccoli, black eyed peas, green beans, carrots, bacon, corn, etc.
