The only Blue October song I've heard made me really depressed; I used to listen to Linkin Park, but mostly everything but Reanimation sucks IMO; I listen to RHCP and Foo Foghters fairly often; I've only hear Soul Meets Body by DCFC, and its pretty good; and I only like a few NIN songs; all the other stuff I've never heard of, so I'll probably check that out. :p

Always wondered what Hadouken! was...
Pretty sweet, thanks for enlightening me iGeo
Dunno, I like Interpol, but not DCFC.
Depeche Mode is one rocking band though, it's one of the few bands I can think of where I pretty much like all of their songs.
Other than that, I'd suggest Fatboy Slim.

There was some site someone posted on here some time ago, when you entered one of your favorite artists and it found songs similar to that genre that you might like. If you didn't like it, you could say don't play this again for a month, and all this other stuff. I forget what it was called, what was it guys?

Killswitch Engage mbmb?
Or if you're into something faster, try Burzum.

If you don't mind listening to something with a hip-hoppy beat to it, but with some harder notes, and political and poetic lyrics, give Saul Williams a shot. You can get his latest album either for free, or for 5 bucks directly to him online.
Oh, and I didn't see any System of a Down. Dunno if you'd like them, but give them a try as well.

Last.fm or Pandora. I've tried both and only gotten a few good songs from it.
SOAD is pretty good, I've got Hypnotize (the album) and a few other songs. Also, I started listening to the beginning of a Killswitch Engage song and thought it was cool until he started screaming. There's very few death metal songs I can enjoy (such as Shadows Fall, The Light That Blinds). I've also heard a few Fatboy Slim songs, but not within that past year or so. :\

It sure is Kirk.
Try listening to some Tool and/or A Perfect Circle. Both very good bands.

Nine Inch Nails
They have 24 albums, with #25 coming out on Nov. 26th.
They are now free of contracts. Front man Trent Reznor believes in Music Revolution, AKA Piracy. So all of his upcoming albums will be free. (You can donate for better quality such as FLAC) They offer their songs as multi-tracks so you can remix them. They are an awesome band with unique sound.
More bands are joining this Music Revolution, such as Radiohead.
So... YOU GO LISTEN NOW!
>_>
Other bands to try: Thrice, Skinny Puppy, Underoath, Chiodos (Alls Well, That Ends Well album), Daft Punk.

I noticed you had Chevelle there. Their new album, Vena Sera, is pretty awesome if you don't have it.

Marketing gimmick.
I second the Tool/APC. They're both really awesome.

Yeah, APC and Tool are pretty good, I like both of them too. I also like NIN's idea of separated tracks (is it like, guitar track, drums, bass, etc.?) to remix songs, that sounds kind of cool.
@Kirk: That was a highly amusing video ;p
@NSN: Yeah, I like Velvet Revolver alot too. :p
@HPDarkness: I've heard Underoath is a bunch of screamo faggotry from all of my friends, and the songs I have heard from them seem to confirm this. Also, that Ninja Pirates link didn't work. :\
All in all, some great suggestions so far, thanks guys. ;p

Underoath is pretty...different. Although I stand by his recommendation of Thrice...you may not like Fire, but the Water album that was released with it is pretty awesome. I think you can listen to the entire CD on their Myspace.

Yeah, Thrice is pretty good, I've heard a few songs by them.
