How stupid do you get? I was going to do a rant on how he'd have been influenced from movies and games to do something like that but...Really, the most most people would get would be some little childish fantasy about doing something like that...But he tried it? ugh...moron.

It was because of many reasons but seems that the grounding was the last straw.

Honestly, take the kid out of the custody of the parents, and maybe in the hands of a Texan couple. Better yet, like a lot of people I think just giving the kid a life sentence with chance of probation if the kid goes through an intense physc course.

Depending on how much PR spin is put on this, Jack Thompson is going to have a field day with this. I hate the world. I wish kids would keep their fucked up thoughts in their own fucked up heads..that or just kill themselves. I'm not paying taxes so he can sit his ass in a comfortable prison cell.

Wow, these kids take not playing games serious. I can't even count how many times I've read about some kid in Europe getting in trouble with the police over not playing games, I've seriously lost count.

I don't think this has anything to do with violent media or childish fantasies, I think this kid has some real problems. He clearly had some serious contempt for his parent, who knows what led up to that.

Someone needs to give the kid a good beating.
I don't understand how someone could kill there own parents, they brought you into the world and you want to kill them over a a fucking grounding.

Well I believe the population of the world is over 6 billion 6,602,224,175 (July 2007 est.) right? I would say chances are there are a lot of people that are messed up in the head with that many people in the world. Hypothetically if 6 million people were crazy, that's only 1/1000th of the population, so that's a pretty small percent of crazy people, it's bound to happen...

Also, I'm glad none of you are running the country, you're all so unforgiving my god, you don't know the circumstances at all to the situation. Mix this kid being kinda weird with bad parenting and fighting and that's a great formula for this kinda thing.
