NO. Simple as that. Spyder Electra is completely overpriced for its low performance. The Dual rocking trigger is, in comparison, harder to use than just walking your standard double trigger. I bet I can outshoot you on my '05 Spyder Pilot (assuming you have an electra), speed wise.
I would reccomend either a Spyder Pilot, Spyder VS2, Tippman of any kind, or a Smart Parts ION. They are all great markers.
For equipment, don't overdo it. Do NOT get anything more than a 16" barrel, because you are just losing FPS and Accuracy when doing so, inaccurate as paintballs are already. I personally have a DYE XTend barrel, but I would reccomend a J&J Ceramic 14" barrel. Don't be fooled into buying a laser, a flashlight, a scope, or anything like that, because they really don't work. Especially the scope. You'll end up giving yourself away more times than not. Learn to aim the gun yourself, you'll be much better off. No offense to you.
If you get a Spyder and want to get a new hopper for it, I would reccomend a CCM Heli-Clamp feedneck (so your loader can actually fit on your marker >_>), and one of the following hoppers:
Viewloader Revvy
Viewloader eVLution 2 or 3 (eggy for short)
a used Halo B or Empire Reloader B
the Halo/Empire loaders are expensive new, and feed waaaay faster than what you'll need for a spyder. However, if you really like paintball, I would reccomend getting one of those if you get a new, faster gun eventually. An eggy feeds faster than what you need as well, but it's what I have and i havent had any problems with it, except for a tiny piece breaking off, which was fixed with duct tape. I'll reccomend the Revvy out of them all, though, because it gives you solid performance for an entry level electro feeder, and at dirt cheap price, too. You'll spend more on a case of paintballs than that loader.
That's about all i've got, though. Hope I helped some.
If I may, I also suggest visiting
www.pbreview.com . They have some wonderful forums and reviews of pretty much any piece of equipment you can think of. That really helped me out on alot of my purchases.
