Flash designs really arent that great for websites.

Usually they are over done and take too long to load.

Done right though, a subtle use of flash can look good.

hmmm I was just at the movies, and my super flash senses tingled, so I ran home! I also instinctivley went to ban someone.... ;)

Anyway, I wish you the best of luck! Flash is awesome! I hope they have the latest version too!

As for things you should know...Well you'll probably get to learn it there. Plus Flash has excellent tutorials built in. Plus flash was designed to be quite user friendly.

Have fun :D

I just got back last night, I had a great. the teachers were nice and so were the other kids, and we were in collage dorms so only my room mate had the other key, so no one raped me.
We had 2 days to make a website and since I've never made a website before I just made a simple halo website entirely out of flash. we used flash and not dreamweaver (except to save the html) I'll post my website once the camp teacher uploads them.
my website makes other from iD tech camps around the nation look like crap. but mine and the other aren't that good. but there was one other person at camp that was a flash expert and made this awesome little flash animation about al roker(???????????) I don't know why he did his report on a weather man.

also I get a whole bunch of discounts for the products I used. I've already figured out the prices for dreamweaver, flash, photoshop, and a 6x8 wacom pen tablet.
In total with the discounts I get from iD tech it will cost me $772.26

or I can get the 4x5 tablet and the price will be $692.26
anyone who has one, is the 4x5 big enough to work with or should I just go for the 6x8?

I can also buy 3ds max for $359 (all time license) instead of 5 thousand something dollars so I do that later since the discounts last until december this year

It's pretty cool you get all those discounts. It's also cool you had the coolest flash site. :p

Also 3ds Max is always $380 for academic discounts.

Academicsuperstore.com, if you're a student in need of software discounts. (you can also get some hardware and games and stuff, but most of them don't get discounts)

http://www.adobe.com/education/products ... suite/web/
if I were to get that and the 4x5 wacom pen tablet my parents would probably pay for half
is there any difference in the software since it is for education?

Nope, it's full and legal. (Unless it says otherwise on the product page.)
