Hello.
Something happened today that left my heart dead.
Theres a Girl named Catherine at school.
And She likes my friend Sean.
Well, for about two weeks he has been leading her on.
He told me not to tell her.
And me and her talked occasionally, and Finally, he said I can tell her.
So I did.
And she cried on my shoulder for about a week.
And so I asked her if maybe we could hang Saturday.
We did.
We chatted a lot that day.
I was starting to crush on her.
I told her after a couple of days. And she was cool with it..
So, we started talking a LOT more, and eventually...
One of her friends said told me Catherine liked me.
And that Catherine wanted me to ask her out Friday.
It was Tuesday, and Sean had been there when Catherines friend said She liked me.
I guess he got Jealous.
So, being As jealous as he was, he exploited the fact that Catherine had liked him Before, and she wants him over me now.
I was left heartbroken.
Who was in the right?
I'm not mad at Sean.
Nor Catherine.
So, tell me Halomods..
Whats your opinion?
Who do you think was right?

I was just about to say the same. Don't worry about High School nonsense. At the moment, and from where you're standing, it seams so real and the such; however, it really isn't what life's about in any way. You'll just laugh at yourself in the future.
When you get a bit older (not much, but out of high school), the girls you start dating (assuming you date around your same age) get so much cooler. Trust me on this one...
Best of luck either way.

I wouldn't say anybody is right, but that chick definitely isn't worth your time.

Exactly the reason that I don't get involved in relationships too much. There's too much behind the back talking. I mean, why can't people just tell it straight to each other when they like the other party, instead of having a third person be a messenger? I never got it.
Hopefully things work out for you in the end, don't get too stressed over it, you've still got a huge life to live and more opportunities.

It's highschool, so I'm gonna have to jump on the all is fair band-wagon. Look at it this way, the guy sounds like a jerk, so chances are the relationship wont even last. She'll be yours in no time.

I'm lucky, there's never been any kind of dramatic tension between me and my gf, kinda hard to believe all this crap goes on with other people.
All I can tell you is, this sucks. It's happened to me before. However, your friend Sean was acting pretty childish when he said that to her, he should respect her feelings and not try to force her to stay with him. But, since he did, and she likes him (or is staying with him just because she might feel bad), just be a good friend to her if it isn't so awkward after all this.
So, really, in my opinion, your friend was wrong. Like I said, all you can do is respect her feelings and just be a good friend to her.

High school relationships are 99% drama, so quit being a pussy and just forget about it. Do you honestly think your relationship with her would have lasted longer than 2 months? 6? Do you think if you went out with her, you'd fall in love and get married? No.
Point is, high school girls come and go, you can't win 'em all, so there's no point moping about one of them not "liking" you. And don't try to say girls like an emotional guy, because while you're being emotional and writing poetry, that jock who had the balls to go talk to her is fucking her brains out. By that I mean girls want a nice/sweet guy who will talk to them about their problems as their friend, but they want a confident/funny guy who can take charge of his own life and know how to handle himself as their boyfriend. In fact, talking to a girl about her problems may make her like you, but by doing that you are securing your position as a friend from that point on.
Sorry if that's a slap in the face and you feel like you don't need that now, but moping around like a pussy isn't going to solve anything. Be a man and move on with your life. As for who I think was right...eh, as a guy who's lived with 2 sisters for the past 17 years, I can tell you that girls can be manipulated to do anything when they're weak (see: think they're in love).

Though gametag is 100% correct, it is nice to have someone other than a guy you can go too. Never say love in highschool, it's simply not love. Think of her as your extra special friend if you will. I know you may want to think it's more than that, but it's not.

Your friend Sean was being immature. But still don't bother waiting for Cathrine she's not worth your time.

Well, thank you for all the replies.
But I KNEW I wasn't in Love.
I laugh at my friends when they say they are.
But, I would have really liked to date her. She's a Nice Girl..
And she's Absolutely Gorgeous.
But thanks anyway.
And Gametag.
I HATE Emotional Nonsense.
The last time I was emotional about something was six years ago when my Grandfather died.

Then how did you let if affect you so much as to let it "leave your heart dead"?

Meh.
True.
I shouldn't have put that.
But I wasn't in Love.
And I knew it.
I won't be in love for God knows how long.
I was in LIKE with her though.

It's not worth possibly losing your friend Sean over this. Just forget about it.

Actually, very good point. Never, ever put your girlfriend before your friends. Unless you intend to marry the girl (which you don't), friends are the only ones aside from family who will still be there after it's over.
