Australian users, I need help
Australian users, I need help
Hey, I finally planned out what I'm doing after high school and one of the major things is I'm getting out of this damn place.
I've decided I'm going to try to move to Australia and I've been doing some research on cost of houses, but I'm finding it pretty difficult to see anything on apartments that aren't for tourists, I just need a normal apartment. If someone could perhaps link me to a website that gives me rates for apartments somewhere in Australia I would be extremely appreciated. It doesn't have to be in any area in particular, just somewhere nice but doesn't cost $160-$300 a day. BTW I do know Australian currency so you don't have to try and explain anything to me.
I'm thinking somewhere like Adelaide, since I'm aware that the prices there are quite cheaper than that of a place like Sydney. But yeah, any suggestions would be great.
By the way, sorry I didn't just PM anyone, I just didn't want to bother anyone who didn't want to help. As another side note, I am aware of the immigration laws in Australia, I'm really doing my homework on all the information concerning living there.

There are probably like 5 Australians on here...I only know myself Rossum and Northy... So sorry we couldn't come up with it quickly...
What you were asking was difficult for me to answer...The things you described were best answered through searching google etc more specifically as you assume Australian's know the whole land we live on
I don't live in Adelaide, it is obvious as I'm pretty sure I can't even spell it
So I coulnd't really help you there...
My only advice would have been don't come to Sydney unless you're rich and don't mind spending heaps to get little and only go to the QLD coast if you can work in the torusit industry otherwise you'd be hard pressed finding a different job.

Yeah I saw the rates in Sydney and just about passed out. I kind of figured they would be pretty high assuming that's the "touristy" place because it's better known than any other place.ScottyGEE wrote:There are probably like 5 Australians on here...I only know myself Rossum and Northy... Adelaide is a decent place in South Australia, the rates for apartments in some areas is shockingly low compared to everything else I've seen, and most of the places I've seen are amazing.
As for jobs, I'm going after I finish college, so my options should be a little more wider assuming I pick the right career path to learn about in college, I'm also moving there with someone so yeh, I'll have some help paying rent. But I have no doubts I'm going to have one bitchin of a time finding a job that go along with what I study in College... Which, along with the rates have been my biggest worries of what area to look into.

Haha, I'll check that out. The 'it' is currently just a low cost, yet nice place to live temporarily until I can get my bearings of where I am.
So far, Adelaide has best fit this, Perth looks second best price wise of that I've seen so far, I still have a lot of looking in to do with a lot, I'm just getting some of the basics down right now (rates per area mainly).
