JDk - Vista

Post by noxiousraccoon »

Sun Microsystems has not updated with new Vista software yet and I cannot compile my java projects. Is someone nice enough to accept my java files and compile it for me? That would splendid.

i would if i had a compiler.

can't you just take your vista drive, set it to slave, put an xp drive in as master and change the boot order? then you'd have those java scripts plus an environment you can compile them in.

I dont have a clue of what you said.
And gtavcmaster100, that program would still required JDk software, just as JCreator does (which is what i use), so I doubt that will work either, I could be wrong though.

i mean, use a windows xp machine to compile the scripts, because it will have the software to do that, and move the scripts from the vista machine to the xp machine somehow, either with a jumpdrive or physically moving the hard drives.

Do you know how java works? I cant just transfer scripts, everytime you want to use your code you have to compile it, requiring a compiler (JCreator for example). JCreator uses JDK software, which is created by Sun Microsystems, which JDk software is not compatible with Vista yet, and transferring between Vista and XP will not help because of the compiling requirements. Thanks for your input though.

You only need the Java Runtime Environment installed for Eclipse to work.

Why not just continue working on your xp machine and wait for Vista compatibility? >>
