Ok, I know this could really get bad, so please NO FLAMING. All I want to know is, what game YOU feel is better, and please state why. I'd like to know everyone's opinion on both games. And please do not worry about what others say about each game, I really don't want this to get locked because of too much flaming.

Anyways. IMO I think Halo 1 is much better, because I seemed to have alot more fun with it's campaign. I mean, Halo 2 has it's own aspects, but all in all, I think Halo 1 was better.

Halo 1 - Better campaign
Halo 2 - Better Multiplayer

Halo 2. Halo 1 was fun in it's time. But Halo 2 is bigger, better and looks magnificent for an original Xbox game.

Halo 2. I wish I had a modded Xbox.

Halo 1, the single player was amazing. The Halo Universe is so much better in Halo 1, the Covenant were also a lot more mysterious... which I much preffered. Elites were somewhat scary, they were tough and you didn't know much about them.

Halo 2 ruined the Halo Universe slightly, I didn't like the 'change' in graphics, nothing looked the same... they could have improved without changing it so much, but it looks like they have restored it in Halo 3...

I miss the vast, open and seamless outdoor environments in Halo 1, Halo 2 was very much a straight line, leaving little choice on which way you go.

And I disagree with making the covenant speak English, I know it may be a translator or whatever, but again, they lost all mystery they once had.

But obviously, Halo 2 has an excellent multiplayer system. The Live lobby system and all, is inferior to none.
The gaming itself though, makes me so angry I no longer play.

Halo 1, cause it has better single player, and the cut scenes looked more realistic. And because of blood gulch and Derilect.

Halo 1 has better campaign, but Halo 2 has better multiplayer. However, I hate Halo 2's matchmaking.

i cant really give a straight answer on this because im the kind of person who plays FPSs to shoot the crap out of stuff, or blow it up(anyone else miss redfaction's geomod).

I love when there's no mics. It's so annoying going to a fucking social event when you want to play an online game. IE Halo 2, Gears of War, etc.

But ofcourse, if you don't talk to the kids they flip their shit and kick you or leave negative feedback or something stupid. -_-

Halo 1 had a much more gripping storyline...You accidently jumped to this massive structure and you have to somehow prevent these crazy powerful aliens from using it against you, encountering sentinals and flood and other things.

Halo 2 tried upping the scale of cinematics, it worked really well but the story itself didn't work the best..."oh...we found another halo yay! lets do the same thing!". Although, some of the scenes in halo 2 are awesome, seeing the scarab for the first time is like holy shit!

halo1 you can use mods in online games.

campaine game play was better in halo, i like having a story like in h2, but then i hated playing as the arbiter... its close but if u base it on time enjoying hte game its halo 2, xbl is awsome

One thing I wanted to do as the Arbiter was kill marines(or just humans)! I was mad after playing though the campaign, finding out that I'd never be able to do that.

Unless I get a modded Xbox sometime in the future...

Same here, but I found that you can kill marines while playing as the Arbiter but you had to be quick cause the Flood spawned all around them.

Anyways, I like Halo 1's campaign better, I did like playing as the Arbiter but Halo 2's campaign gets really boring after you play it a million times (damn you Bungie, not puting AI in MP), Halo 1's campaign never got boring, it had bigger battles, bigger explosions, the Covenant kicked ass, and had bigger waves of Flood. But Halo 2 had better multiplayer.
