I myself was told to mod my xbox from a friend I play xbl with. There was no intent of cheating. Well I messed up my xbox and halo 2 over 12 times trying to mod. The first I formated my hd(I didn't know what format meant). Bought a new one locked(Yes I'm retarted). Then bought another one unlocked and had no way of getting my eeprom. Well theres alot more.
My first time I tried to apply a mod, I thought you just replaced a map file with a ppf.

I became a modder a while back. I saw this guy.. and he shot a MC out of his PP (O_O) and I was like.. LIKE DUUd!!! (First mod I had ever seen) I was like, That iz teh collerest glitch everest. and he was all.. Like duud itza modification. I was liek WTFBBQPMG? And he was all.. Go to google and learn. And Thats how I started.

Counter Strike 1.5 originally got me into modding. Then I started to move on to more complicated games BF1942. The first ever Halo mod I ever saw was Boll's Wheels on Fire mod. I thought it was cool and when Halo PC came out, I was looking for a moddding community and found Halo Mods.

One of my Xbox's DVD drive fried, I bought a new drive, it wouldn't play Halo 2. I bought a new Xbox, modded the old one.

i already learned what modders could do, but i knew a modeder, he made a cool game, with fun mods, where every hundred kills he would let you hide, its name was called surviver, well

ill tell you the basics of the game

at the start he would let you hide, he would count down from 30 seconds, and once the time was up (he had auto aim 1080 to be exact) well anyway once the time was up he would jump up as high as hje could, then run around to kill anymore people, than go back to the spot where everyone spawned, and just hold the trigger, and every 100 kills he would let you go again.

one time another modder was in the game, and he was killed and then that modder took over, than he botted him, than the game continued.

i was already into modding, and that was what really got me into it.

Naw, I started modding Halo PC, then realised it was possible to mod Halo 2, saw some pix on here, saw the pruf, and decided to give it a shot with my friend... soldering a 1.6 isn't nice

I moded my xbox many years ago, then i found some halo 1 mods here, i learned to patch xD

When halo 2 comes out i started modding, i leardned to mod on a french modding website, then i needed to learn more so i learnt english and come here for more

well I think it was ArmedSlayer17 who got me into modding. I met him on XBC and he told me he modded and I asked him how and I forced him to teach me

I won a new xbox. So I modded my insanely old one and stumbled upon this site. Played 'Zentation' and got hooked. Then I sold my xbox that I won and bought a new HDD.

I played a mod on halo trial, thought it was interesting. So i bought the full version and learned how to pmi and what not. Now im slowly learing how to mod CE.


...no xbox for me

When I first started modding, I opened maps in a hex editor and used Iron_Forge's offset list to swap things.

I was told about it from a friend. But I imagined it was used to create new BSP's and playing fields. I did some research, and found all I needed on a now gone site called Halo-scene.com, or something similar. Then I found I couldn't make my own BSP's in Halo.

And then I discovered Dothalo and took it from there.

I bought Halo PC after playing a few Xbox LAN games at my friends house, then I just stumbled onto Halomods one time.

I STILL don't have Halo for Xbox. >_>

i got into modding after my Live trial expired and realized that it is possable to mod a box with splintercell.

My brother was a golden age on this site, and he introduced me to MonoxideC's Library mod. I was in awe, and the rest is history.

Last october, I downloaded the halo trial after seeing Modders on Xbox Live, thinking "Wow, I can do this without modding my xbox!".
So, I did, realised what more opportunities came with full (CE, etc.)
Bought it.
Modded Halo 2 in January after I successfully softmodded a friend's Xbox, so I modded my own.

I modded trial, and then wanted to mod Halo 2 when it came out, so I came here for help.

I found this mod by DECOY (Colossus) but it wouldn't work on Trial, so I bought the full version and found the tools DECOY uses to mod on this site.

Don't have an xbox.

I was cheating on XBL, circle boosting with a modder, and he was like flying a box, and I was like DOOD! So I went to his house, and stole his xbox, and cheated for the next year, and now I'm here, clean as a whistle. Yeah...
