Nothing But good things? Editorial from Newsweek showed some Journalist got fired and house went into Foreclosure after an interview with Sacha Baron Cohen(Borat/Ali G), People Suing him after doing interviews with him for Documentary purposes and not for a comedy movie, and a Romanian Village suing him for misinterpreting their village as a 3rd world part of Kazakhstan, without compensation. A lot of people complaining about the Anti-semitism and such.

I didn't see it, and I won't. I don't care that Sasha Cohen is Jewish, that the director is Jewish, that the producers are Jewish, or that all of the crew members are Jewish. The movie makes retards think that anti-semitism is acceptable, and that "I don't really mean it since I have a Jewish friend" is a legitimate excuse for said comments.

And I haven't heard that until now.

There is actually more to the movie than men running around a hotel naked. Once you sit down and think about it, it shows a whole new (to us) veiw of what life/people are like.

Firstly, nobody listens to Borat - it is clearly a joke, he is not spreading anti-Semitism, he is mocking it. Honestly, you have to be able to laugh at yourself sometimes. It's this kind of lack of light-heartedness that sparks the kind of hatred Borat is making fun of. You have to look past what is politically correct and just laugh at what is funny; lighten up, you have to have a sense of humor about these things.

Why don't we make a movie about fat ugly patriotic americans?
I'm sure they would laugh about that.
What if Germany would make a movie against jews or turks?
I'm pretty sure this is funny right:
"Why has the Gas-Chamber 11 holes?"
"Cause the jew has 10 fingers"
I have to listen to that shit from time to time and America is not a doing a good job avoiding that kind of stuff by making movies like Borat. or making other unsocial comments about other religions or people.

i agree with THC on this. life is alot beter if you're lighthearted, as opposed to being anal about political correctness.

not to come off as arguing for the sake of argument (my brother does that - what a jackass) but i wouldn't mind watching that. maybe by seeing the world's honest-to-(their)-god opinion on america, americans can better serve the world by changing their ways for the better? after all, it's our differences that make us unique, and the recognition of those differences (while not being mean) will bring us together. after all, you should be proud of who you are, right?

I think we all know what we can do to be better people to the world...
Give more, eat at McDonald's less, stop being greedy, stuff like that.

Don't tell me to lighten up. If you were part of a minority and you sat through a movie souly making fun of that minority group, you'd have the same impression that I had.

Personally, I found it funny. This movie is a clear example of how America would react to an outsider. Not to mention an Eccentric character such as Borat.
And don't say I don't understand the minority standpoint and imagining dealing with a movie. I dealt with a year of being 1 of 3% out of over 4000 Students that were white in a Black Mexican Majority school. I got a ton of Nazi, Slavery, and other remarks like that for a
year. If people can't sit through a couple hours of it,( not to mention, the anti Semitism doesn't run throughout the entire movie,) and people throw a fit. You don't have to go watch Borat, go get Hebrew Hammer or something.(Even that was somewhat Racist and all, I still found it funny.)
