Portal

This game looks incredible, a very original puzzle type game created by Valve that will be included with the release of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and Team Fortress 2. It is a sequel/remake of the game 'Narbacular Drop' which was made as a final project in 2005 by students at DigiPen institute of technology. The plot is that you are armed with the "Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device" which in addition to holding all the properties of Half-Life 2's gravity gun can create a portal between two points providing instant travel. It's hard to explain but Gamestop has done a good job of summarizing the gameplay:

Words really can't to justice to the originality of this gameplay, so you'd best check out the hi-res version of the trailer here.GameStop wrote:In other situations, you may be under fire by a gun droid. So all you need to do is shoot a portal open over the gun, then shoot a portal open beneath a crate, then watch the crate fall through the hole and crush the gun. It gets even crazier, and the diagrams shown in the trailer showed some incredibly crazy things that you can attempt, like creating a series of Portal so that you're constantly chasing yourself.
