Decided i'd drop in and say something...
Another Forum wrote:yes you read right, stupid MPA had made tabs/online guitar lessons that relate to an artists work is now illegal.
the 2 main sites are now shut down.
Powertabs
MxTABS
yes thats right, any type of this is illegal, now that new software on musicians friend that you pay 6 bucks for an interpreted song is still legal, so they might be in on this.
RIAA + MPA you need to and realize that the internet has allowed new genres to be created and heard all around the world.
please sign this petition in order to stop this madness.
Against MPA Petition
Angus Young signed at spot 1322.
why o why...?
That is COMPLETE and UTTER bullshit. Please sign it even if you don't play a guitar/bass/whatever has tab, it'll do us all a favor that do.
THOSE FUCKERS AT THE MPA!!!
Update: Now lyrics and tablatures are illegal. Sites will be shut down and their owners will be facing jail time.

I'm no big music buff, but that is wrong. Not that I know what you're talking about. Ok, so I read the link. The MPAA and the RIAA or whatever their name is can just stick a recorder (it's an instrument) up their ass.
I don't feel much care for music, because to me music is just another distraction provided by the media. BTW I believe music should be fun to listen to NOT politically motivated or whatever the fuck you think it should be.
Music has no place in politics, and politics don't belong in Music either.

To politicians
Mind your own business!!!!!! Everyone is capable of doing that but politicians I guess
9. Only in America......do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

you give up way too easy, im to the point where i make my own beats, and i can play by ear now, but sometimes i needed a tab.
(actually for you it would be a riff not a beat

)

I create my own beats also, wether they are solo drum beats, or just repeating loops with breaks.
Its enormously fun and you learn from it.

I have a guitar but I would like to sell it to get some drums (Preferably with a double base). Yea.

Its far more efficient to just get a single bass set with a double pedal, believe me. I used to have a 12 piece double bass pearl set but I sold it because it was just too spaced out to do anything fast, so I got a Pearl EXR 6 piece and I havent looked back since.

and he got mad at me and told me im not a true rocker if i dont have all that crap and i told him "good, cause i play punk"

All professional rockers have that setup.
I wouldn't even know what cymbal to hit if i had a hard rock drum kit >_>

Kids.. get a teacher and learn to play by ear! Tabs are for cheaters

and for the lyrics.. that's really stupid. They're just words =\
It's not like some guy will go changing the lyrics around by adding "O RLY?" at the end of each line, add a couple power chords here and there, and call it a song
and sorry for the off-topic-ness, but I'm planning to get a drumset durring this week.
I'm looking at a Yamaha Rydeen 5 piece, but cymbals are my problem. I'm only a beginner but I don't want any cheap and crappy cymbals.
Help mb?
