dont you ever wonder why we humans exist? everything exists for a purpose, but we humans do exist, but we do not know our purpose. In fact, why do all living things exist? why does the universe exist? why is there a universe in the first place? everything exists for a purpose, but we do not know what most of it is for. Everything does have a purpose, but in the begginning, there was no existance at all, so who or what started all this? was it god? was it buddha? was it satan for sick kicks? or was it a being we have not discovered yet?
to make this all short - everything exists for a purpose, but in the beggining there was no existance, so how did it all start?
*btw* i need this for a school project, please help me.

ok you want a straight answer. off the top of my head.
We evolved from human resembling primates, and the first signs of this was found in africa near a place called the Great Rift Valley, where a specimen of early humans,(scientifice name Austrolapithicus) named "Lucy". Achaeologists continued to survey the area and found more specimens with the same charicteristics as Lucy. Austrolapithicus' were concidered the first upright human ancestor. Then the Austrolapithicus went through another stage of evolution.
(I forgot what the name of it was.Sry.)
Then after that stage came the Homo Erectus who before now, was the Most closest Human Resembling Creature. It started to loose the ape-like figure, and become more human.(some conspiracy theorists belive that Sasquatch(Bigfoot)is the last remaining Homo Erectus. This is still to be proved)
Then came the Homo Sapien which is the Human being as we know it.
Is that bettet TebTeb??

Like you said...everything that exists has a purpose. But what about existance? Does it have a purpose too? Existance exists like everything else. But existance is only a word. Words are not things. They are just symbols that represent things. We exist, not on purpose, but not by an accident either. We exist because of chance. Hell, we might all have been chickens or something and ate people at restaurants. Or maybe not..
There is also a chance of life in other places, though it hasn't been proven at all. It's all confusing and my head hurts. Bye bye now XD

To understand why we exist, we must first understand how we exist. If you look at Earth, we are in a perfect posistion. If we were any closer to the sun we would burn up and any farther from the sun and we would all freeze to death. The universe made this so. The real question is, why man? Why us? We exist because the universe wanted us to. But why is the question? Why are we here? Is it some cosmic coincidence? Or is there really a god?
But seriously, if you think about it, we shouldnt be here. To open a little insight, there are tons of stars. Lightyears away. Do you not think that in the vast emptyness of space there would be other forms of intelligent life? Just because we cant understand it, doesnt mean its not intellegent. The simple point, we cannot possibly be alone. But there will always be an unanswered question, and that is how do we exist? We know we exist because "I think, there for I am".
Interesting subject of Destiny. Alot of people believe in fate, that they were pre-determined to do something. Maybe thats true. Mabey we are here because we were supposed to be here. Something wanted us to exist.
I wont remember anything I just said, so please dont ask me to elaborate on anything. Im just killing time waiting for the Xbox360.....And please excuse the fact that I cant spell to save my life.

i have never wondered why we exist.... but bill nye the science guy did
anyway, i'm trying to think
why do we exist (yes now im wonderin), hmm why do we exist... i dont really have any thoughts on why. everything else around us exists for a good reason/purpose...so maybe we exist to destroy other good things that exist for a reason???

this question is like the total Hypothetical that a lot of people think about. You acctually made me think about this durring my source game and You made me die.

It all had to start somewhere. but Im sticking to the Austrolapithicus->Homo Sapien theory.
EDIT:

If you have a bunch of time before this project is due, you should read "A short history of nearly everything" by bill bryson. If you don't have time, then read it anyway

. Its a fascinating book.
But on topic, I think that we exist due to a series of unprobable coincidences.
